Announcement Regarding Ownership of ArgoFans.com

Hi Everyone

I am the current owner of ArgoFans.com. I purchased the site back in January from Mark (Argofan). Mulder assisted me with the transition and put together the Pick'em Pool before he decided to leave his position as Administrator in May. I want to thank him now publicly for all his help. I purchased this site because I feel it is important for Argo fans to have a place to discuss all aspects of the team openly. This site is also partially responsible for me becoming an Argos fan so the last thing I want to see is it shut down.

I put off making this announcement because I wanted to show you that the site will carry on pretty much the same as it did before my ownership. I feel we have a pretty great community here and even though we don't always see eye to eye the board runs pretty smoothly the majority of the time. I want to thank the moderators argomANIA, ArgoGabe22, and Wobbler who help keep things running smoothly. It's not the easiest job and can be pretty thankless at times, so thank you all again.

Going forward I hope you continue to enjoy the site and if you have any ideas, comments, issues, etc. please don't hesitate to PM me anytime.

Thanks to everyone responsible for launching and maintaining this site. For a guy living on the left coast this forum is a great way for me to keep up with the news of the club. Shockingly, we don't get a lot of Argo coverage out here.

Thanks for the work. Check the site every day, really don't what to say about the team right now. It's tough for a fan. Don't even ware my hat anymore. As a ST holder really at a cross road for next year. When they get a new place to play if season ticket holder senority is not going to be respected (and I will confirm in writing before 2015 renewal) then I might just go to the odd game and wait for the new place then get ST again. That's about the only reason to renew right now.

Thank you T-Bone for keeping the site alive. Your like the Braley of Argonaut forums. Alright, bad example. I think you are a perfect owner. You keep the site active with the game updates, pools, meet ups, etc. I appreciate your hard work promoting this team.

One thing I have always liked about the site is the freedom. Swearing is unnecessary, but I like how people can express their views, no matter how silly. So many forums are over moderated and they lose their fun and eventually members. Hopefully we can grow the site, because it's the only place to talk and get inside info on our Argos.

I'm looking forward to see what you can do with it.

One thing I have always liked about the site is the freedom. Swearing is unnecessary, but I like how people can express their views, no matter how silly. So many forums are over moderated and they lose their fun and eventually members.

This is one of the things that myself and the mods are very adamant about. Very little is censored around here despite what some may think. We want people to be able to express their opinions openly and freely. This does lead to some issues though as we have some disputes from time to time. I think we all can work on making things a little less personal and making the place a little bit more friendly, myself included. Since we are mostly adults here the mods and I feel people can settle their own differences which is why we try not to interfere. However we would appreciate it if people would report posts that may cause issues so we can be proactive and step in if need be before things get out of hand. As for swearing the occasional "bullshit" etc. doesn't bother us but there is no need for it to be used every other word of a post. Racism, sexism, homophobic slurs, etc. will not be tolerated. If a mod warns you, please respect the warning as we don't enjoy disciplining anyone. This is all pretty common sense stuff so I'm going to leave it at that. Please enjoy the board and like I said before please don't hesitate to PM me with any comments or concerns. Thanks again.
