Are the Argos back in town, or are they staying out west for the Lions game ?

Yes, I just saw the practice schedule - looks like they stay in Calgary and then head to Vancouver Wed afternoon or Thurs morning.

I think staying out west is quite important. The Argos haven't won at BC Place since 2002. However, playing at BC Place has been a problem for all Eastern teams. Having watched many BC Lions home games over the years, the Eastern teams often seem jet-lagged and lethargic throughout these games. So, while staying out west hardly guarantees the Argos a good game, let alone a victory, it does eliminate a problem that has often played a role in Eastern teams losing to the Lions.

agreed on the eastern teams out there but somehow i feel the opposite is not true, bc has fared quite well as of late (especially in Toronto). I've heard more about it in the nfl with west coast teams struggling out east but not so much with bc in the cfl. maybe they have just been good enough to overcome it. anyhow i agree that staying out there will help and I had the phrase but i think we are 'due' for a W there. We'll see though...

Glad Owens is back, but not happy about Rosamunda & Horton being taken off the 46. If they are injured does anyone known when that happened? I hope these deletions were not seen as performance based. Not sure what to think about 244lb DE Dexter Davis backing up on the interior of the D line or Matt Ware coming off the PR after a lengthy stay.

Could be looking to shore up the run defence after Cornish tore them up last week. They also had difficulty stopping Logan last time they played the Lions, and with Harris and Logan both in the line-up this time, the Argos will definitely need to stop the run better than they have.

    .

I'm surprised to see Washington and McCollough off the depth chart. I thought either one of them was better than Suber. Interesting to see Ware back on the gameday roster. As I recall, they were pretty high on him after training camp, but sent him to the PR shortly after.

Biggest shake up is the linebackers. Rosamonda must be due to an injury, I remember him playing Cornish pretty well for at least the first half. I definitely like Rosamonda more than Robinson. Robinson's alright on the blitz, but he's pretty useless when he has to drop into the secondary.

Going with the same D-line after a pretty lousy second half in Calgary.... but then again, who is there to replace them? I hope Harrell is healthy soon.

Same offensive line from last game, and almost healthy at receiver. Our offense is going to be out of excuses as of this game. For the love of Pete, stay healthy!

    Good luck, boys.

One player I have really been waiting to see play is Kyle Moore. He has been on the 6 game IR all season, so I doubt he will ever get on the field as an Argo. I know he played in the last pre-season game. What horrific injury befelled him?

I have to disagree with you on Robinson. I think he is very good at the SAM position.

I don't see Rosamonda as a SAM backer but more of a WILL. That would make him more likely to replace Horton than Robinson. I think the lack of a hybrid at Will last week really hurt them on those direct snaps that Cornish kept running to the wide side. If Robinson had been in the line-up, he may have been able to get outside quicker and force Cornish to cut back inside earlier.

It's depressing that we're still shuffling guys around in the secondary this late in the year.

Owens and Durie together and a reasonable O-Line means that our passing game should be fine. I don't know why Brazill isn't listed as the starter at boundary WR (I don't see a ratio issue), but I assume that he'll see the field a lot unless his fumblitis flares up again.

We're capable of winning this game.

Thanks for posting the Twitttter link. I have been checking argonauts.ca hourly for the depth charts. Still no depth charts there. Sometimes the Argo performance on details is sadly lacking.

Started drinking coffee, gonna try to stay up for this one, unless we are out of it by halftime. Argos seem to never win in Vancouver. Hopefully, the return of Owens and the Western week of practice, can change those fortunes.
