from my vantage point on Friday I thought our D line was doing a great job of getting pressure on Collaros throughout the game, he was just able to find and hit open receivers most of the time in spite of that pressure. Hopefully tomorrow the secondary clamps down and we get some sacks and errant throws out of Crompton. Would have liked to have Jalil Carter for Duron Carter but I think Smith is up to the task tomorrow - we'll see....

Now we lose Barnes for six games again? The injuries in the receiving corps have been absolutely incredible this season.

Interesting that they are shutting down Barnes for the rest of the year. Our newfound receiver depth will come in handy.

The only real surprise is that Robinson can't play. That, combined with Carter's and Washington's injuries, has set off an avalanche of changes in the LB corps and secondary. We get Ware (who has only played a few games at corner) as our brand-new SAM, and an almost entirely new arrangement in the secondary. It could get exciting back there!

The offense is as predicted. We may need to put up a lot of points again, so it's fortunate that we look very strong there.

I sincerely hope that the Double Blue are taking this game very seriously and not looking ahead to the Hamilton game. Montreal has come a long way in the past several weeks, and I view them as stronger now than the TiCats, especially defensively. Their offence is mediocre, but if Sutton has a great day, they could give the Argos all they can handle.

I just read the preview article at argonauts.ca by Lucas Palleschi ( Argo Admirals Insider). I don't criticize the article, despite it's amateurishness, but I do loudly criricize the presumption in the article, which I feel is pervasive among Argo fans these days. He concludes, " So sit down and strap in because this game should make for a fun evening of football." One can only conclude from his phrasing, that he is encouraging as many as possible to catch the game on their television - there is no call to get to the game and support the Argos..

I agree. Mtl's receivers are also starting to come on line (Brandon London now, besides Carter), and if SJ Green finally really kicks in, it could be a show. I do not predict an Argo cakewalk.

Why do you assume that? Couldn't he be referring to sitting down in a seat at the Rogers Centre?

I don't know about you, but I don't "strap in" when I'm watching TV. Palleschi is obviously asking people to watch the game from the cockpit of an airplane, which is an unusual idea but hardly offensive.

I'd really prefer if those pilots would watch the sky ahead of them instead of watching the game.

Geez just turned the TV on and caught the last bit of the TFC game. Looked like it was 3/4 full but LOUD! Wait till the Argos get in there. It will make a great atmosphere I think.

After a couple of good looking plays, the Argos return to early game form with a turnover through fumble.

On their second drive, the Argos once again look good and this time hang on to the ball but settle for a FG. It looks like it could be a good game for the offence.

18,329. was the announced crowd for the Toronto Soccer game v Mtl, i put it on prior to the Argo game on TSN, i'd say 4 empty seats to every actual fan, NO WAY there were 18K + fans. maybe 6000? I suggest the Argo game has more actual fans in attendance.

T-Bone?, 294life?, did you guys attend both?, what are your thoughts?

Good call to not go for it on third down there. It looked like a full yard to me, we were on our 43, and Montreal has a pretty good line.

Well looks like SJ, is back in form, and Crompton is playing like the second coming of Sonny Wade.

    The Argo's D looks horrible

Once again the Argo defence, which has given up the highest points per game in the league, can't stop the opponent in the early going as Montreal builds up a 10-3 lead after one quarter.

The Argos must stop fumbling and dropping the $#%^@#$ football! They are largely beating themselves today. On the bright side, the defence did a nice job of adjusting in the second quarter and completely shutting down the Montreal offence. BTW, there should have been a horse collar tackle penalty on the Owens fumble.
