My concern is that Montreal goes all out against the Argos, and with Hamilton having them last game Montreal will rest some of their key players.

I don't think anyone will rest key players. If Montreal and Hamilton both win next week, the winner of their game would get a bye and host the Eastern final.

Agreed. You can bet that the Als have a vested interest in hosting the East final in front of a packed Olympic stadium and cashing in $$$$$.

I believe any playoff game that the Alouettes host will be at Percival Molson.

Still has to be worth at least $1 million dollars for them, but the fact that finishing first means you only have to win 1 game is the biggest motivation as to why they will try and win.

Not if history repeats itself. Has anything official been stated that the big O is off limits for Als playoff games?

They are better off playing at Molson Stadium this year as they simply won't have as much time to sell tickets for any playoff game that they are hosting as they have in the past. In past years, they have had between 4 and 6 weeks to sell the East Final because they had locked up first place so early. They will only have 1 to 2 weeks this year if they host a game.

The only way that the Montreal/Hamilton game won't be important is if Hamilton loses to Ottawa on Friday, in which case the Argos only need to beat Ottawa to make the playoffs. As long as Hamilton wins that game, it guarantees that first place at least will be at stake in the MTL/HAM game. In other words, you don't have to worry about Montreal not playing their starters and not playing hard in that final game, if necessary, as they will have much incentive to win that game.
