So it appears #Argos draft pick Daryl Waud left the Washington Redskins on his own. Must want to fire up that #CFL career immediately.

And he was released at his own request, OV! It sounds like he wants to be in Toronto more than Washington.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Bit of a gamble perhaps - he might have made the Redskins roster and had a wayyyyy bigger pay-day than he would get in the CFL; probably thought he was only going to be a TC fodder body there, and much better chance to make the Argos ? - let's see how he does and if he gets to play as a rookie - Laing / Waud at one DT spot could be very solid; then Foley, Gabriel, perhaps Greenwood = 4 NI starting spots on D (5 if Matt Black is given a real shot at corner and wins out) = could make a good ole boy head spin.

Great news - truly a man of Wode -- yes, yes I know it is Waud, but at my age I'm allowed a little poetic license

Yeah, but is he going to sign? Is he expecting a premium because he voluntarily left the Skins camp? Shouldn't he be entitled to one?

Gives Creehan lots of options if needed with the 4 NI as starters. But the will probably go with three starting positions. DT/DE Laing or Foley, OLB Greenwood and S Gabriel. I would like to see Matt Black get some playing time at corner as well, to keep him ready as a back up.
But with the starters available on defense and at least 4 on offense (three O Line and Durie) I would love to see a real big fullback (like a Mike Sellers or a Cookie Gilchrest) brought in. Such a player could be a game changer IMO getting those tough 3-4 yards consistently on second down, blocking for Ray catching some passes out of the back field and make those little OLB's pay the price. A guy about 6'2 240 with 4.6- 4.7 speed would fit the bill for me.

Not sure who the import DT on the roster is who is going to be better than Laing & Waud? = those 2 could possibly start at both DT spots with an import as the back-up - real TC competition should determine that.

You're probably right that these 2 could win out as the starting DT's - and with Greenwood at MLB. Sure hope that they all have good learning capacities, because there would be precious little experience at the centre core of the defense.

I was mostly joking about both Laing & Waud as starting DTs - entirely possible of course with real TC competition, but 2 starting NI DTs backed-up by an import is very unlikely and bound to boggle a good ole mind; Greenwood at MLB ? - some talk seems to be him at OLB with Jones at MLB ? - mind you, Greenwood has more experience playing Canadian ball and lasted longer in the NFL than Jones did - Greenwood to start somewhere on D for sure ?
