It's never too late to make a "splash" in the FA market, I guess! We signed Aaron Kelly today.

I'm happy to see this. I think Aaron Kelly could help us. The team really needed a big target like Kelly. We can only speculate as to why it took so long to sign him, and if he will even make the team, but I think he has a good chance to do so. We don't have many receivers with experience, so this might give us a bit of stability. I know we have signed many new potential receivers, but with the way the injury bug hit the receiving core last year, the more players we have in that area the better.
Also regarding the receiving core, I was disappointed to see Mark Harrison released, though obviously I have no idea why that happened. I don't believe a reason was given publicly. Sometimes players resurface, so you never know, maybe he'll be back at some point.
Yes, it's nice to have a couple of new guys with meaningful CFL experience (Kierrie Johnson too). Even if we end up starting brand new guys in the three open positions, I think we'll keep Kelly and/or Johnson around.
From what I saw at practice today (and I only went to the later session with no pads), the Argos definitely have some big targets competing for jobs at receiver.I was particular impressed with Kevin Elliot and Vidal Hazelton. Both big targets and looked smooth both in the route running and catching the ball. Anthony Coombs also looked very sharp while I was there.
It's us vs the rest of the country
