IF Greenwood is a good fit at Will OLB, and Jones is good at MLB, then that's great, but if Greenwood is the more talented MLB he should be playing there, and get another Will LB; not sold on Matt Ware being a big answer either at Sam OLB - I had high hopes for him last year with his extensive NFL experience but another one who didn't show that much IMO (mostly playing in the D-backfield) - hopefully he has learned a lot about the CFL game and is now a good fit at OLB ?
Didn't Ware play at OLB for much of the second half of the season and wasn't he much better at that position?

I'm disappointed that Rosamonda has been cut because from what I saw he brought so much energy and "fire" when he was on the field...something that is intrinsic and cannot be taught but is infectious and really elevated the team.

Ware started at SAM for the last four games of 2014 but was in the secondary (or injured/not dressed) before that.

That's what I remember. We were saying on here last year that Ware appeared to find his position in the CFL.

Tori Gurley added to the roster. He's big, but not especially fast. Gurley got a *lot* of looks in the NFL (seven teams in four years!), but never quite made it.

Sort of similar to the recently departed Mark Harrison. This guy has been cut more times than Timmy Lupus of the Bad News Bears.

Time to start thinning the RB herd, I guess, and although Green looked fine in his one start vs Ottawa last year we seem to have some good new guys in the secondary.

To be fair, though, it wasn't difficult to look good against Ottawa with the group of receivers that they had last year.

That's why he was so willing to wait a year on McEwen -- he's another high-character guy. Everything JB touches is turning gold these days.

Who cares if has been cut many times and he's not fast. He's big -- if he has good hands, good vertical, can run short routes, and catch in traffic, he could be a good possession receiver. Something the Argos have not really had recently. I know that I am dreaming, but I love his size.

I've felt for years that the Argos needed a possession receiver who rarely drops the ball so that they can sustain marches.

It appears that the Argos have a plethora of talent to evaluate (and some spots available) at receiver and in the defensive backfield. And at least one intriguing new RB.
    I don't envy Milanovich's cutdown tasks.

Tough job, - evaluating talent - but ultra important in football IMO.

Are you suggesting though that the Argos this TC are in some special position with a vast wealth of talent to assess and so many good players will get cut ? - pretty sure all CFL teams bring in lots of good talent for TC each and every year and there are some tough decisions to be made. Some teams have huge opening or voids or needs on their roster going into a season though - Argos may be one of those teams this year IMO - and moreso than most teams in the league.

No doubt. Every year there are plenty of guys that get cut, that may be better than players that don't. It's a matter of having a short time to impress and as they say, timing is everything. Same happens in the NFL, and luckily for us fans, a lot of those guys make it up north.

That is why every single practice is videotaped, so that things that may get missed in real time, are caught on film.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Nothing says "We're confident in the abilities of our new receiver recruits" like cutting a vet. As for Davis, could he not fully recover from his injury?

We signed Jason Vega to the PR today. He's a good end, but I'm a bit surprised that we think we need more depth there, with Okpalaugo, Foley, Wilson, and Wright all on the roster. With the season about to start I suspect that Vega's salary demands dropped, and that probably helped. (I realize that he's earning a PR salary, but I assume that a number has been discussed for when/if he comes off)
