IMO, Proulx and Kim Murphy are the best head referees - and, not surprisingly, they are the head referee and the substitute referee respectively for this year's Grey Cup - followed by Tom Vallesi, Al Bradbury and Dave Foxcroft. BTW, whatever happened to Murray Clarke? I don't believe that he refereed a game this year although he is still listed as a head referee on the the CFL officials' site: http://cflofficials.ca/officials.asp

I think I've seen Clarke in other positions on the field this season. Don't know if that means he was demoted from referee or chose to move to one of the other spots. I basically agree with your ratings of the refs, Ravi.

I agree with your ratings for the most part, too. Only I would put Bradbury ahead of Vallesi. Vallesi and Foxcroft to me are total embarrassments to the league. As head referees, it so sad the way they both often get confused when explaining their penalty calls on the field.

Andre did all right I guess, just should have dropped his flag for the TV audience and crowd stating "dere was no infraction on the play". If he had done that about three more times it would have been a perfectly called game. lol
