Remember that story and it always sad to lose a huge CFL fan no matter the team.

Back to the big game. Calgary wins a well overdue Grey Cup. This team has been solid for years and the best this year. Hamilton will give it a great shot but I don't see Calgary losing.

    Go Stamps Go!!!

Calgary very solid and well coached in all aspects of the game, refreshing to see an offence with the talent and scheme to stretch the field, Hufnagel knows what he is doing, as for Hamilton kudos for getting to the Grey Cup 2 years in a row but anything short of their "A" game may lead to a repeat of last years Grey Cup Game blowout defeat.
    Calgary wins 45-21

Ticats need to hope for a repeat performance in punt returns by Banks to have much hope in this game, IMO - will Huff kick away from Banks (i would - including taking penalties for either illegal punts out of bounds or else take no yards penalties in coverage); both teams have pretty decent Ds, but the Stumps have much more talent on O IMO (Fantuz - Ticats best receiver by far, with no catches in the East final; and Cornish is umpteen times better at RB than Grigsby); interesting match-up of 2 CFL young gun QBs, but Mitchell is better than Collaros IMO.

I`d bet on Stumps by a bunch, but Ticats could win with big ST plays or their D making big plays too.

Really?? What are we in a time warp? Fantuz is little more than a possession receiver these days, as indicated by his 10 yard average. I would say Tasker has been more productive this season than Fantuz has in quite a while (even when he has been healthy).

Andy Fantuz ... He wouldn't happen to be the illegitimate son of hall of famer Steve Tasker, would he?

LOL! Where does Sam Giguere fit into the Hamilton picture then? I still maintain that he has been a disappointment considering all of the press that he once received plus his NFL pedigree.

Ravi you are being kind in regards to Giguere, he has pretty much sucked in Hamilton, can't see them keeping him, maybe he hooks up in Montreal next year.

You may be right. I just looked at Giguere's stats this season and they weren't that bad, especially as I believe he plays that Z receiver position that gets the fewest throws. My bad on this one. He had 41 catches for 520 yards and a TD this season.

Hamilton wins this 31-17. All three East teams finished the season as better teams than the west side. Calgary did look good beating an Edmonton team that barely beat a lousy Rider squad.

I was talking pure receiver talent wise and Fantuz has been injured / nicked a lot of this season, but Tasker couldn\t hold Fantuz's jockstrap in terms of receiver skills; son of hall of famer Tasker is a middling to mediocre CFL receiver talent who gets tons of passes thrown his way because he is one of Kenty's boys; if he is your # 1 go to receiver for a GC game you are in big trouble; Bkhari Grant and Giguere are average to mediocre too. Ellingson - who played lots last year but has been injured some i guess this year is easily better than their current starters and so is Cary Koch too - if Kent-boy is too dumb to figure Fantuz in his offence = good for him and we shall see how their offence does this GC game - at least maybe they might be able to get a big play on a short dump-pass or jet sweep to Banks but he is not a down-field calibre receiver it seems, and that receiving corps is CFL sub-par for sure unless they make some changes.
