    I've never understood these most-googled statistics. We know where the Argos are, they're at argonauts.ca. Why do we care about counting people who do a Google search for "argonauts" or "maple leafs" or "toronto FC" anyway? What are these statistics showing? (Other than counting people who don't know how to use bookmarks, or who can't remember URLs.)

    It's a nice way for Google to get its name in the news at the end of every calendar year though.

    Its not exactly meaningless. People will google "Argos" for example to find articles related to the Argos, not just to find their homepage. If there is a lot of interest in finding articles related to the Argos, there probably is a lot of interest in the Argos themselves. Its not an end-all-be-all stat obviously, but its not exactly meaningless either.
