Wow...what an idiot. I'm sorry he was abused, but his logic is just way out there.

Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
It takes all kinds to make a world
He better not be seeking any cash from the Argonauts even if he has little chance of winning.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
Well, he lost and is allowed to persue his right to receive season tickets. I advise that he should really sock it to the Argos and purchase 5000 season seats. That'll show em who's boss!
I'd like to believe that his intent was to raise awareness of male domestic abuse, rather than to persuade the Argos to drop their campaign. So I will.
Can we find out his seat numbers in case he does renew his season tickets. No particular reason - just be nice to know !
One oar still in the water !
That was my first thought. Would he be pissed at the fight against women's cancer campaign?
Sorry that he was treated like shit as I know women can abuse men but I'm pretty sure men do the majority.
Pick your fights better jack.
I honestly just think it was some jackass looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

Abuse numbers are about 50:50 Male:female. Men just don't report it as much.
Regardless, this is an asinine lawsuit. I hope the Argos and court stick it to this guy, and make him pay the legal bills.
It is also the case that women get injured much more severely from domestic violence than men do. I agree with you that this was not a well-thought out complaint. I understand the gentleman's desire to raise awareness about male domestic violence victims but this may not have been the best way to do so.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
The 50/50 split figure came from a recent CAMH report, I believe. I'll see if I can find the exact report. And by all measures, I do believe that the physical violence and damage is much worse against women. Men tend to suffer more from emotional abuse, and less violent physical abuse. This is a generalized statement from mix of what I've read, and witnessed in my previous career.

thx. It just seems weird to try to count up "unreported" instances of anything. If they're not reported, how are you counting them?
Faster + Louder = Better
The studies I have seen involve people self-reporting to questions asked by researchers. For example, they will be asked if they have ever perpetrated or been victimized by choking, kicking, slapping, etc. Those are probably the best estimates of this problem that you will get but it does tend to consistently come out as being fairly equal in terms of gender (both in perpetrating and being victimized). The difference is that more serious abuse and damage is perpetrated on females. Don Dutton out of UBC, who is a world-renowned expert in this field, has conducted research on male victims of domestic abuse if you are interested. He has said that we are doing a disservice to this issue if we ignore domestic violence that is perpetrated on men by women. Of course, it isn't only in heterosexual relationships that we see such abuse either.
