No apology needed. Where would VZ be in that scenario? LT? I think he has played right side his entire career. I could see Sewell at RG (if he's ready to start) with VZ at RT, and King at LT.

My line looks like this...protecting Ray's backside is King, then perhaps Sewell at G, Keeping at C, Holmes at the other G & VZ at the other Tackle spot....man, I am quite the communicator huh?
Could be a good starting lineup, but it appears thin after that right now to say the least.

Coulda been a potential disaster / desperate situation if they had been unable to re-sign Tyler Holmes right; and they have yet to make any FA moves (not Barker's way it seems). Would have to hope Dhillon from last year's draft is ready to at least be a capable back-up or maybe count on Wayne Smith a lot; plus maybe use their 1st draft pick on an O-Lineman (pretty decent crop this year perhaps).

One scenario that might work is that Sewell - under tutelage from Hymie (kill the light would you Hymie) - has a great camp and is ready to start at OT = him and King at OT. Holmes and Van Z at guard, Keeping at C; i guess Sewell could get thrown in at guard like what happened with O'Donnnell and the Esks (kinda amusing then how the NFL has called O\Donnell for a shot at OT again).

I purchased season 3 on DVD recently - still reviewing - bringing back so many memories.

Hymie competing in the Olympics - throws the discus out of the stadium.

Hope Hymie is a great O-line coach.

Back to the Left Tackle. I'm shocked that four people would pick an untested Matt Sewell to be the starting Left Tackle this year. If Milanovich does plan on starting him, which I doubt, it would have to at one of the Guard positions where it is easier to protect him. They know better than to put him up against the likes of Chick, Bowman, Norwood, Hughes, Willis and others from the Rush End position. Easier for him to go up against the big bull rushers in the middle of the DLine while he continues to learn. IMO the Left tackle spot will be King's to lose.

I tend to agree with you Doubleblue ..... Left Tackle is Kings ..... then Holmes at left guard ..... Do you think with more experience Holmes can move to the LT if needed?

Holmes might not even need more experience. Perhaps the addition of Himebauch is all that is needed. Chiu was a very good player, but very unproven as a coach. The difference in Edmonton's o-line was night and day after Himebauch arrived.

No kidding, AV, and at least three of those Edmonton o-linemen were players whom the Argos discarded (Ramsay, Andrew Jones, Washington).
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

And Hervey was so close to getting rid of Rottier the previous year because of his play. I think Himebach had the most positive effect on him.

Presumably the winner will be determined mostly by camp and pre-season performance. I'm hoping that Sewell gets the job because with his height and reach I think he'd make a better tackle than guard. Holmes is a more natural guard, IMHO. If Sewell spent the off-season slimming down a bit and working on his quickness, I could see him getting the job and learning to be quite good at it.

Is it more likely that King gets the job? Yes. But I'm hoping we end up with Sewell-Holmes-Keeping-King-Van Zeyl with Smith and Dhillon as backups.
