It will be interesting to see if he (Ball) garners any NFL interest. Paul, do you think BI will make it to the Argos TC in June?
Hope not unless he is both a better player and less self-centred than he was in 2012-13.
I would like him too, but in fairness to Issaac, Ball plays the weak side and Issaac plays the strong side. I don't think Ball's coverage skills on a slotback are good enough for him to play the strong side. It would likely mean Nick Rosamonda would revert to special teams and back up, but I would be good with that.
Having said all that, we do have a different coordinator now, so I can see our pal Chris Jones making him an offer.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I'd love to see Ball back with the Argos. He was an important ingredient of their 2012 Grey Cup march.
.
If he does come back to the CFL, I bet u he goes back to Chris Jones.
I really hope we consider a 3-4 alignment at least part of the time. I think LB may be our deepest position overall. I want to see Jones on the field a lot, along with greenwood. Rosamonda is also a good player at least in some situations. If we do get Ball back we will have some interesting options.
Little chance you see any CFL team run a 3-4 as a base defence now IMO; not in the cards in a same-old, copy-cat coaching type league; but, love to see it at least some and from the Argos - Greenwood & Jones as the 2 insider backers ?; little to no chance you see a CFL offence use a fullback or real tight end regularly, plus lots of applied ground game too; however you never know - Lions' new HC Tedford signed an ex-NFL TE he was familiar with - watching that situation to see what happens.
