I am not sure he can read the Defences and on top of which there is the happy feet issue.
He better step up though as it may be his last chance given the history.

I don't know if that was an o-line issue or just bad play designs. They seemed to hand off deep in the back field on these plays. I definitely agree with OV that they can use a big back for these short yardage plays, but also attacking the line rather than waiting for something to open.

What is this based on? His almost 300 yard passing game in the final week against Ottawa?
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

No it's based on the fact that he isn't Zach Collaros.

Am I missing something about Collaros? He's been good but not great. He hasn't proven that he's an elite QB yet that's for sure.

Unfounded personal bias can really make someone's opinion sound stupid. Harris has done fine with his time so far and now we get to make a true judgment. He sets his feet quite often, which is why his deep ball has always been better than Hamilton's QB.

I really like Sims. He seems like a respectable young man, who's thankful he's getting a chance to play. I hope he can stick around.

I like your optimism and I agree with you. I am sure that the Argo brass and coaches started planning around this long ago, despite the "on schedule" line that they fed to us about Ray's shoulder. I am very sure that the offensive playbook is not designed solely around Ricky. It's our first real chance since Zach left, to do a more wide open evaluation of the QBs on hand. We have 4 candidates who all have good college resumes. Two of them also have a lot of system and sideline experience.
Harris is the obvious pencil choice right now due to experience and some similarity to Ray. Gale has shown stronger leadership qualities ( especially in college) to go with his athleticism.. Either is a good possibility to perform equal to or better than Collaros did a couple of years ago. Kilgore and Sims both fit into the "opportunity awaits" category - and either could be boom or bust. It is very nice to have talent, and no apparent 'lemons'.

I can't see Ricky appearing in a game before August. Even then, it might be high risk. There is a world of difference between having no problems throwing, and having no problems throwing while your shoulder is taking a pounding. Travis Lulay can tell you the difference.

Worst case Ricky may be done. It has happened many times before with shoulder surgery - there are no guarantees.

I feel good about our QB situation.

Am I just imaging things ..... Maybe a side effect of the long offseason ..... But it seems there is more info out there. We are only one day into TC and the info on the Argos site, and the Twitter account is keeping me more informed than ever. And of course we have some input on 3 down nation via Rush. I'm liking it! June is tomorrow!

Even though Durie is my favourite Argo and feel he can play one, maybe two more, years, he appears increasingly fragile. I hope he retires before injuries come back to haunt him later in life, especially after his horrendous college career leg injury. Sometimes, injuries that appeared to have healed reappear in debilitating form as you age.

But he's young. You could see his potential when he was still an Argo

Yes I agree but the way that some people talk about him you would think that he's the best Quarterback in the league.

Remains to be seen if he is indeed fragile. I, personally don't see it that way. I think he just came back too early from an injury that was worse than they thought.

gotta love Milonovich - calling out the offence saying they were feeling sorry fro themselves after day 1. Guess I should read up how both units fared on day 2. So glad the season is upon us.

He's not that far away. Right now, who IS the best QB in the league? If you asked people who are the top 3 candidates for best CFL QB in 2015, Collaros would appear on a lot of lists. I know he'd be on mine, knowing that Ricky is likely to be out at least half the season. What do YOU think, Neely, who are going to be the 3 best QBs in the CFL in 2015?

Mike Hogan wrote a terrific article today discussing the Argos' current ratio options, Cleyon Laing, and various other tidbits. I highly recommend it. A few specific points caught my eye:

    - Sewell is being tested strictly as a guard right now (not shocking, but I had hoped that we'd be patient with him as a tackle prospect. Not a big deal, though)

    - Greenwood is projected at MLB (again not a shock since that's where he played his CIS ball, but I thought he might be good at WIL thus allowing us to play Jones in his natural position)

    - Ware has bulked up and is now clearly SAM LB-sized and not DB-sized (sounds like he could be significantly improved)

    - Apparently we've been trying to get Moch for a while (If he pans out, Okpalaugo could have some serious competition)

It's not 100% clear to me that Hogie means both Sewell and Dhillo are playing only guard. The wording could also be referring only to Dhillon.
