Man this was a rough week for quarterbacks. Durant is gone. Reilly is gone. LeFevour is gone. Crompton got taken out of the game. The Argos should count their blessings.

Rough one for Durant, guy worked his ass off to come back from his elbow injury and blows out his Achilles on a seemingly innocent play, hopefully our friends and contributors from Rider Nation (Fumblitus and VANRIDERFAN) and the gang are coping well today.

A lot of achilles injuries seem to happen innocently rather than from a violent collision.

Mine came stepping down off a curb. Just a normal step, but the extension on the trailing leg popped the achilles.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Yes, but did you know Rod Black is the 5th cousin removed from a neighbour's aunt whose grandfather once played in the NFL.

Has he at least toned down the NFL reference for every guy who comes up to the CFL to play...it was becoming an epidemic. Any distant connection would be referred on the telecast...game winning field goal ...wait, let's call a TV timeout to discuss a player's family tree and their football genetics. A few references in the beginning of the season when a player may be new the league is expected, but to keep bringing them up even when the guy is a veteran in the league is a bit much.

What was most nauseating last year was how much NFL talk and footage that was shown during the East Final, with Duron Carter and Luke Tasker playing. It really was ridiculous.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
