Thanks, Midnight. My days of working full-time for "the man" are probably over, but I do enjoy exercising my writing muscles whenever the opportunity arises.
Sad to hear of Dan Petschenig's passing, Paul. He was a promising, young lineman at the time out of Ottawa U IIRC (OV would probably remember). That 26 point lead disappeared quite rapidly.
EDIT: Petschenig actually played at Carleton according to one article that I read that talked about his passing. His son plays for the Oshawa Generals.

Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Thanks for the article, Paul. Great read. I'm musing over whether I'd enjoy a two game total point series...
You could point to the high snap and losing Jearld Baylis as turning points. After that, Mike Kerrigan got into a zone and never got out of it.
I remember being really pissed at Dan Rashovich after that game, and I was glad that was his last game as an Argo. Naturally he developed into a really good player who played 13 years with the Riders.
Thanks Paul for bringing back all those memories.
Here's another piece I wrote, this time about the Hamilton-Toronto rivalry:

I guess this somewhat relates to the 1986 Argos. The highschool I help coach based in Mississauga played another school who has former Argo James (Jim) Kardash as their principle/coach.
No idea how he was as a player (86-92) as it was a bit before my time but thought I'd share to those who do remember the eventful 80's.
Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
Kardash used to be the principal at Lincoln Alexander S.S. A good friend of mine who still teaches was the coach there, but I don't believe they have a team this year. Kardash didn't coach on that squad full time, but would occasionally come out to assist.
As a player, he was a good 6th lineman that would come out as a TE in a lot of situations.
It's us vs the rest of the country
