    2015 Season Player Transactions Thread

Joe Circelli in, Kyle Moore out.

I don't mind this move. I would rather see young nationals develop on the practice roster. Kyle Moore just seemed to be too injury prone. Best of luck to him, hope he catches on somewhere.

Circelli in and Kyle Moore out

I thought Circelli out performed Dhillon at TC. Especially at the Center position. Moore always showed promise but couldn't stay off the injured list and the Argos are quite deep on the D Line. Also thought we would see the young kicker with the long name brought back. Maybe Barker forgot how to spell his name.

I wonder why we don't see QB's who can also Punt very well anymore. Sonny Wade, Joe Zugar, Bob Cameron come to mind. Bernie Faloney, Joe Krol. I had better stop. lol

Add Jackie Parker, who could punt and placekick, and did both as late as 1965 for the Argos until his knee gave out.

I remember Jackie place kicking not so much him punting. The specialists have taken over now.

Don't forget about Johnny Evans from the 1980s with Montreal and Edmonton.

I suppose there's some possibility that he could get it right the third time around the block. Hopefully, patience will be dialed in at "minimum".

The quick kick can be such an effective field-position play on second-and-long, it's a shame nobody does it anymore. I remember Joe Theismann using it successfully several times as an Argo. Tom Brady has had a couple of real good ones with the Patriots.

So Delano Johnson gets a second chance? Wasn't he released?

Leo Cahill often talked about quick kicks when he was a CBC analyst. I was just watching this clip the other night in which you see Sonny Wade perform a quick kick for the Als against Cahill's Argos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03Ems4hj3R4

Anyone know anything about this guy? If we're signing McCallum, I hope Pfeffer can punt. I see that he was at the Toronto Regional Combine.

His stats don't blow me away but he has been an all-star at the CIS level and there are certainly signs of progress through his CIS career.

Pfeffer had an outstanding punting average for the college ball level last year.

With the new rules especially, hopefully he is good at directional punting. It is huge to have a punter that can consistently put the ball between the numbers and sidelines.
It's us vs the rest of the country

It is official. Hogan says he is a better kicker than punter.

That's good to know as his punting stats of 42. something isn't bad.

Don't think so - since he was the leading punter in CIS ball and not an all-star place kicker
