we noticed in Montreal the lack of hang time that Swayze and Michael Palardy provided us when they were in. It was a huge, strategic disadvantage to the Argos that almost cost us the game. Ronnie P had decent hang time, especially for a K/P.

I say go after Ricky Shmidt. Import, but can do all 3 jobs.
It's us vs the rest of the country
U must not be watching too many Bombers games this season. He's having a dreadful year placekicking. Cost the Blue Bombers a couple of wins this season with his missed field goals from within range. His punting may be better, but the Bombers had a terrible punt cover team in the first half and fired their ST coach, so maybe his directional punting might have contributed to that also.
Hajrullahu has been a consistently decent punter in the CFL, and I think we'd take him in a flash if the Bombers released him.
The kicking situation is a very serious problem that quite possibly may prove to be fatal to the Argos' Grey Cup aspiration.
It sounds as though Waters will be back for the playoffs, which helps a lot.
Let's hope, but this part of the article caught my eye:
Which implies that the Argos could have played at home if this dumb baseball game had a different starting time. Sure, why not?The Toronto Argonauts will play their next “home game” at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton due to the MLB Playoffs. Although the Toronto Blue Jays aren’t playing at home on Saturday, Game 2 of the ALCS was scheduled in advance for 4 pm, which is why the Argos decided to play in Hamilton instead.
The problem with the 6th and 17th was not having enough time in advance of the game to know if they could actually play football or not. There was a certain amount of time that was necessary to determine where they should focus on their ticket-selling efforts and that time wasn't sufficient to play either of those games at SkyDome. However, there is absolutely no excuse for the game on the 23rd to not go ahead at SkyDome. There is a full week still before that night and we know well in advance that SkyDome isn't being used for baseball after next Wednesday night and won't be used for baseball until the 26th at the earliest. This is simply a case of Rogers not wanting to do the conversion.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Not sure how a player transactions thread mutated into another discussion about Rogers and the schedule but since it did ... Let's all keep in mind that some Argo regime (I'm betting C and S) signed a lease deal that allowed Rogers to essentially evict the Argos at any time for any reason. That had to have happened because if it hadn't I imagine even the current owner would be prepared to file suit. Either that or Rogers paid the Argos to make all these games go away. Which seems doubtful given the acerbic comment by Rudge in today's release.
I read somewhere that Ornest sold the rights. I don't know where or when.
