Thanks Angelo. I don't think Miles is very high up the depth chart at this point (ahead of HTT and behind Yurichuk, I guess), but as the fifth youngest guy on the team he should still have plenty of potential.

Double that Angelo.... Thanks for the practice updates.
We've put Shaw and B Smith back on the PR, presumably to make room for the return of Elliott and Waters this week.
In addition, two new guys have appeared on the PR:
TOR ADD NAT Sean BLAKE (LS) Western University
TOR ADD INT Detrick BONNER (DB) Virginia Tech
Why sign a long snapper? Are the Argos unhappy with Reinhart?

Well, it's possible we're looking at him more as a LB (his other position). It's hard to believe that we're unhappy with Reinhart, who has been perfect as far as I can tell.
I think that all teams are concerned about what they will do if their long-snapper gets hurt and I suspect that the Argos simply want to have another one in the pipeline just in case.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
CFL transactions shows that db Eric Black & K/P Ronnie Pfieffer have released from the roster. I really thought Pfieffer would have been retained unless he wanted to explore other options. I wonder how brother Matt feels about his kid brother being released? Also the wire shows Keeping has been taken off the 6 game IR as of yesterday.
Good luck to Pfeffer. As for Black, I was a bit surprised that he made the PR this year.
They'd have had to put him on IR with a fake injury. Why would he agree to that, given that he's likely making league minimum? They did him two favours -- gave him a chance to play and now gave him chance to find a new employer.
I thought Pfeffer deserved better than being outright released, but who knows if that was his preferred choice than the practice roster? Does he have any CIS eligibility left and if he did, would he be able to play?
I can see a team picking him up in the very near future, but I don't even want to speculate and throw the idea out there. Pfeffer was a clutch performer in certain situations, and did well especially since he was thrown in the fire, on the road in Regina. The Riders were an impressive team at 0-1 and played a tough first half vs the Argos. Pfeffer's kicking and placekicking was excellent in that game during high pressure situations.
I like Swayze Waters, but I hope the Argos don't regret this decision and hope Waters can stay healthy. You could never have enough kickers afaic. Those 3 pts on field goals are really valuable and cannot be wasted oppurtunities if god forbid another leg or groin injury occurs to Waters. Stala for punts may be adequate, but for FG's, I'll go with the guy whose been practicing them all year and kicking them steady over the last 5 years.
I believe that once Pfeffer, or any other player, has played in an in season pro game he cannot play in CIS football.
Although I'm sure the Hawks would love to have him back. After tonight, I wonder if the RedBlacks will pick him up.
It's too bad that the Argos can't keep him somewhere ..... Like the stamps have Crapigna somewhere on their PR or injured list.
The Redblacks are the team I did not want mentioned. That guy they picked up from NFL training camp was nothing special and not any better. He did make a nice play recovering his own punt in the first quarter, which was fortunately negated by a penalty. Still I did not see any punts that were better than Pfeff's, although I did not check the final stats. There were some poor punts in the fourth quarter giving the Argos great field position, although the Redblacks should have conceded a safety imo when they were punting from their endzone trailing 27-24.

It's getting harder to pretend that we aren't auditioning guys to replace Reinhart.
