    Power Rankings

Here are the CFL Power Rankings with the team with a name that cannot be mentioned ranked first ahead of the #2 ranked Argos.

    http://cfl.ca/article/nissan-titan-p...er-one-in-town

How a 1-1 team whose lopsided win was largely in part due to the other team's loss of their #1 qb can be ranked ahead of the Argos is unfathomable to me.

    Calgary Stampeders
    Week 3 Ranking: 1 (Last Week: 3)
The Stampeders reclaim the top spot after knocking off both Hamilton and Toronto. The wins may not have been convincing but Calgary has shown that they know how to get the job done when it counts. Plus, the Stamps beat the Argos while losing two o-linemen to injury.

    Hamilton Tiger-Cats
    Week 3 Ranking: 2 (Last Week: 1)
A team normally wouldn't lose a spot because of a bye week but Calgary's victory over Toronto had to give the former the top ranking. It is important for the Ticats to show this week that they haven't lost any momentum following a bye week.

    Toronto Argonauts
    Week 3 Ranking: 3 (Last Week: 2)
Starting the season with your first five games on the road can be daunting but the Argos seem up to the task so far. The team slips in the rankings following its loss to Calgary but the Boatmen were still able to hang tough with the defending champions.

    Winnipeg Blue Bombers
    Week 3 Ranking: 4 (Last Week: 6)
The Blue Bombers appear to be back on track following an injury scare to Drew Willy and now find themselves atop of the West Division. Winnipeg has scored the third most points in the league thus far and the team has a legitimate offensive weapon in Paris Cotton.

    Edmonton Eskimos
    Week 3 Ranking: 5 (Last Week: 7)
The Eskimos' defence allowed only 17 points in the win over Ottawa and looked like last year's dominating group. Only time will tell if Matt Nichols is for real but he did pick up his first career win as a starter.

Ottawa REDBLACKSWeek 3 Ranking: 6 (Last Week: 4)
Getting off to a hot start can set a team up to be humbled, and that's what happened to the REDBLACKS against the Eskimos. Ottawa still has the chance to prove they belong among the league's elite by bouncing back with a couple of wins in the upcoming weeks.

    Montreal Alouettes
    Week 3 Ranking: 7 (Last Week: 5)
The jury remains out on a Montreal team that has been relying on rookie quarterbacks since the season opener. Rakeem Cato fell back down to earth in his second start but Tyrell Sutton has emerged as one of the league's top rushers.

    BC Lions
    Week 3 Ranking: 8 (Last Week: 9)
The Lions stepped up in their home opener, pulling out a gutsy win in overtime. While both Travis Lulay and Andrew Harris had big games, it could be Austin Collie who holds the keys to how lethal BC's offence can be.

    Saskatchewan Roughriders
    Week 3 Ranking: 9 (Last Week: 7)
It could just be bad luck but the Riders can't seem to put anything into the win column. They are now the only team in the league without a victory even though they've only lost all their games by a combined nine points.

IMO, Calgary is #1 again this year, but I would rank Toronto #2 as they only lost by 2 to Calgary and won their other two games.
Hamilton is #3 because their convincing win over Winnipeg was partly due to the injury to Willy.
I would rank Edmonton #4 ahead of #5 Winnipeg as the injury to Wily shows how dependent the Bombers are on him.
I'd place Saskatchewan #6 despite 3 losses because two of them should have been victories based on overall play.
Montreal is #7 thanks to the play of Cato and its talent elsewhere in the lineup.
Ottawa has shown it has improved considerably, especially at receiver due to the addition of Sinopoli, Price, and Williams, and must be taken seriously but still has question marks.
BC's is #9 as its win came in the dying minutes of what looked like a loss, but the injury-free play of Lulay gives them hope.

Hamilton blew three opportunities in the last three minutes. At the three minute mark they turned the ball over on downs when they failed to make a long one yard. Cash intercepted a tipped Collaros pass to stop Hamilton a second time. Finally, as Hamilton marched down the field, a fumble with 14 seconds left snuffed out their last chance, resulting in a 17-13 loss.

The Argos are #1 in the Power Rankings this week. I totally agree. Quite an accomplishment for a team that many, including myself, was heading towards the bottom of the standings with Braley's neglect, Ray's injuries and the loss of so many players.

    Toronto Argonauts
    Week 5 Ranking: 1 (Last Week: 2)

The road warriors known as the Toronto Argonauts continue to win on the road and in dramatic fashion. For the first time since 2001-2002, the Argos put together their second straight win at BC Place, a stadium that has haunted most East Division opponents. Trevor Harris continues to work his way out of holes and take control of his club when it matters most. Sitting atop the East, the Boatmen can really create some distance with a big game coming up with the Ticats this weekend.

I also agree with the rankings of the bottom teams: Winnipeg 7th (bombless with Willy); and Saskatchewan (two injured experienced QBs and an inept defence spells disaster).

However, I'd rank Ottawa 6th (there's been more good than bad Henry in 2015 and he now has a receiving corp with speed and catchability) while BC BC 7th blows hot and cold too much.

I'd put Edmonton second ahead of Calgary third, thanks to Chris Jones coaching and Cornish's injury.
Hamilton (4th) and Montreal (5th) both some question marks and strengths but Collaros' experience puts Hamilton slightly ahead of Montreal's inexperienced Cato, IMO.
