I've gotta say..last nights Bombers-Lions game certainly had some questionable coaching decisions on both sides of the ball.

For the 2nd straight week, the Lions turn it over on downs close to mid field in a tight game. Is Tedford even taking this league seriously?

Then for some reason the Bombers try a fake punt on 3rd and around 20. Seriously?

I loved O'Shea as a player, but I think he's been around the league long enough where he shouldn't make some of the bad in game decisions he has. His team also really lacks discipline, and that is on the coach.

I found the Riders play calling downright weird in their 30-5 loss to Edmonton. Despite starting a third string inexperienced QB, they did not a RB rush until well into the second quarter. Furthermore, despite having IMO the best RB pair in the league in Messam and Allen, each of them only carried the ball only three times for a totals of 27 and 0 yards. Yes, I know Edmonton has a top-notch run defence, but this approach is putting to much stress on the inexperienced Smith.
Nevertheless, Smith seemed moderately competent, considering his inexperience, in completing 15/22 for 132 yards with several others being called back because of penalties or drops.
It appears the Argos have become the chief QB recruiting agency for the CFL what with Smith, Harris, Collaros, Portis (now a free agent), and Gale all being on the Argo roster Who would have thought that five years ago?

Happy to see Calgary win tonight, Nik Lewis seems to expand week by week, looks like a slightly undersized O Lineman running pass routes.

According to TSN Insider, Brendan Taman is going to recommend head coach be replaced with an interim coach, most likely Mike Benevides or Paul LaPolice. if he cannot get team president Reynolds to agree this it likely means a complete housekeeping, including Taman, will occur at the end of the season.
Considering the Riders 0-6 season this is hardly a surprise.

Hard to believe given that they are only less than two years removed from a Grey Cup championship. Some over on riderfans.com have been saying for a while though that Taman basically sacrificed their future to win that 2013 Grey Cup at home.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Chamblin seems to be losing it. IMO, the way he chewed out rooking Nick Demski the other night for an offside was uncalled for. Even worse considering I think the call should have been on Chris Getzlaf. They were both moving forward at the snap of the ball, but Getzlaf was not only further down field at the snap, but also was the first to get offside. He should be chewing out guys like John Chick and Tyrone Branckridge who seem to have taken early retirement this year.

Taman and Chamblin should both be sacked - a complete housecleaning at the end of the season would be best, rather than Taman using Chamblin as a life-preserver.

Cato is a very talented QB and a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
If the Als could get some actual receivers to complement SJ and short-yardage Nik at the end of his career then look out.
    BTW, brilliant move cutting Stafford...

Who are these "Chick" and "Branckridge" to which you refer? : )

Cato reminds me at times of Flutie in terms of his escapability. (Please don't reply that I am comparing him overall to Flutie).
