Funny story is that Tim Micalef (Tim & Sid) tweeted that Ticats vs Argos is one of his favourite rivalries in all of sports so I commented as a joke that I was surprised a Rogers employee would be allowed to admit something like that. His response was "hahaha...never been a part of that!" So does that mean he is aware of Rogers being anti-CFL?

He then had Ricky Foley on his show yesterday so that tells me he isn't one of those Rogers guys we all love to hate.

I've heard Tim big up the CFL before when he was a guest on Brady and Walker, which was extra awesome since Brady and Walker are such CFL and Argo bashers. He was asked "who do you think is the greatest athlete in Toronto?" and he responded "Chad Owens".

That's not true, I've seen lots of promotion for this game on the TTC. I.e on the sides of busses and streetcars and on the t.vs on the subway platforms. There have been a few radio contests too.

I've heard radio advertisements and seen newspaper advertisements too.

The attendance will be low, what does anyone expect when the team has done very little to do a marketing push and when we've fallen to the basement in the fringe Toronto sports fans minds. Jays are the cats arse right now.

Ron I just don't give a SHIT to be honest. I'm sick and tired of Toronto and it's wishy washy BS filled sports fans. I've always been a massive Argo fan and taken plenty of useless baseless crap for it. The typical world class Toronto bunk that people eat up pisses me off. Somehow since we play in Canada only we're second class. I've never liked soccer period. I only have issues with TFC Goofs who spout off for no good reason. The Jays lost me for many reasons but lately it's Rogers. People crapping on the Argos isn't going to go away. I say how I feel.

There are some decent people at Rogers who don't crap on the Argos/CFL - Donnovan Bennett and Jamie Thomas are two that come to mind - but there just aren't enough of them. Bennett, btw, is engaged to Kate McKenna who has been doing some regular segments for the CFL on TSN for the past few years.

Baseball analyst Jamie Campbell is a lifelong fan of the Argos. He comes into my store every now and again. Really good guy.

As for 1aroholic, this is an Argos forum, and if he wishes to gripe about other teams in relation to how Argo fans have been treated, then go man go. We've been dumped on, and have said little. Its not like he's going on a Jays forum and saying the same thing. I myself support all Toronto teams, to some degree, but I get it when someone like 1aroholic gets pissed off with other teams, when the Argos get either dumped on, or ignored most of the time.

The addition of the Raptors made it even worse. Since the Argos and Leafs successfully co-existed for many years prior to this, I hold no animosity towards the Leafs.

I haven't seen a depth chart yet, but Spencer has indeed been taken off the PR (and added to the roster). Keeping has been 6-gamed, which doesn't necessarily mean anything but does suggest that his injury is non-trivial...

Saturday's advance tickets to the beer festival have sold out. There will be a limited amount of tickets sold at the gate subject to capacity.

Great conspiracy theory, but the simplest explanation is usually the best: they've got a G.M desperate to keep his job, so he sold the farm.
