I'm picking Montreal, Hamilton and Calgary this week. Betting on the Argos being the only road team to win...although I'm hoping that B.C. does to.

Edmonton, Hamilton, Calgary, and the Trevoronto Argonauts.

Cato needs the team around him to improve, but the Als are trending downwards.

Yes, BC seems (to me at least) to have had something of a Jekyll and Hyde complexion. Hopefully, this time out, the mountain lions feast upon the tiger cats : )

My gut says Montreal for some reason. A tough defense vs. a tough defense and I'll give the Als an edge at home.

Would like the Lions to beat Hamilton, but I doubt that'll happen. Everything seems to go right for the Tiger-Cats at THF.

I think the Stampeders beat the Redblacks. If the Redblacks were to somehow win, I don't know how we can continue to dismiss them. They've had a home heavy schedule to start the year.

I agree with you on all counts. Montreal will still be a sizable factor in the east before this season is out. Perhaps they will crossover to the west for the playoffs. They are sticking with the young Cato who has shown much promise but has also made costly rookie mistakes so far. All four of their losses have been close games but the three that they have lost with Cato as their starter really could have gone either way.

Watching tonight's game, and I have come to the conclusion that Tom Vallesi is the worst head ref in the league. He bumbles every call he makes. Is the worst at determining RTP's. And after last weeks gem of "we'll put the ball right here." tonight, he calls illegal contact, declined. Then was apparently told the pass was incomplete, and had to change the ruling to accepted. Did he not give the offence the options on the play?

    How does this happen???

To say nothing of the OC, HC, (DC according to heavy Als fan grumbling), the antique ex-Stampeders, and Soft Samuel.

Als not getting enough points from early turnovers proved to be their undoing.

As Hamilton takes a 51-12 lead with a quarter still to go, BC seems to be disintegrating both on the field and off.

I know they're our divional rival but it sure is fun to watch the Redblack offense at work. Burris still got it.

Right now the Ticats are the team to beat in the East, fundamentally sound, disciplined hard nose team that has quickly developed an identity at THF.

The Ticats are playing well on all three aspects. Tonight's game had TDs from offense, Defense and specials.
Similar game is happening with the Stamps over the RedBlacks.

I just hope these two teams are peaking now ..... Whereas we will be peaking at playoff time. 👍🏼

That's really the only hope with the Ticats because I can't find too many weaknesses with their team right now.

A healthy Argonauts team can certainly compete with the Ti-cats. Either team could win on a given day. The crucial difference is Banks, although the Argonauts' D certainly still needs to improve.

This is the CFL. Teams that dominate in summer don't always maintain it thru November. I remember some Stampeder teams that started out winning about 11 of 12 yet failed to win the grey cup. Hamilton is the top team in the league right now but I'm confident they will be challenged by the Argos before things are done.

Hamilton and Toronto's offences are even IMO, as you stated Banks is a game breaker on any ST return, Hamilton's D currently has the edge as well but Toronto's young D should continue to improve.
Toronto has to reduce the penalties and undisciplined play.
Will be interesting to see how Hamilton reacts to a loss or two at THF, right now they believe they are invincible at home and that attitude shows during their home games.
Argonauts need to hang tough continue to improve and develop chemistry and they will be fine, nice thing is we are winning while this process takes place.
I remember Milanovich commenting after the 2012 World Championship that the most important thing is how you finish the season, to a large extent this is true.
