Not surprised at all by this move, actually the only thing that's surprising is that it wasn't made much earlier. IMO Walker has had the same issue with his play since coming up to the CFL, good for one maybe two big plays a game then disappears. A lot of blame has/had been placed on Gibson and Maas for the lack of running plays, but when your running back isn't very good, you're essentially forced to throw the ball more often.

I never thought Jeremiah Johnson was starter quality, quite frustrating to watch actually as an Argo. Surprised he's survived although he did score two TDs against us.

The Redblacks need an entirely fresh set of running backs. As you know, any pro running back should be able to score on those two plays.

I think when he first came to the league as an Argo, he was playing like he didn't want to get hit. Always trying to make an extra move rather than lowering his shoulder and getting what he can. I think he has improved a great deal since then.

Walker, 28, had 287 yards on 78 carries this season for a 3.7 yards per carry average. Johnson has 86 rushing yards this season on 30 carries

Maybe a kickoff return guy, but I don't think he makes quick enough decisions to be a punt returner.

Well I read on twitter that someone bumped into him and that he mentioned another team picked him up so I guess we wait and see if anything materializes.

Only thing I could think of doing when I heard the news was just shake my head at Kyle Walters, the Bombers Football ops budget has risen over $2.5 million in 4 years and yet they're still making the dumb mistakes they were making when they were the lowest spending team in the league (pre 2012). I'd be shocked if O'Shea and Walters are back next year, neither IMO deserve to be. Wade Miller needs to go as well, why the Board hired him instead of keeping Jim Bell around still bottles my mind.
