Do we want Carter or Chiles back?

    Carter? Yes.

Chiles? We kinda need a deep threat.

    NFL cutdown day

Carter was a pretty good tackler, as I recall.

I'd bring both back, and I would love Vaughn Martin if he's a FA and still healthy.

I thought another CFL team drafted Martin? Chiles and Carter would be good additions.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Ticats offer big money for Carter and Chiles because that's what they do. Do we really need them? Carter is an upgrade but who will we sit? Same goes with Chiles? Wouldn't mind seeing Hazleton or Elliot get a benching though.

Argos shouldn't have any cap issues as far as I know.

Just because we're comfortably under the CFL cap doesn't mean we're under the Braley cap.

In any reasonable approximation of a perfect world, it would be very nice to get Chiles back on board (and, yes, I'm still happy with all three of the Big Three).

That's the problem - he spares "no expense" - none whatever. Carter would be a nice addition - Chiles is OK but Harris has no chemistry with him at this point. I'd prefer to stand pat with the receivers once they've served their "time out". ...but how do we solve the vacuum created by Agnew and Isaacs ?

Carter would be an upgrade over Hawkins wouldn't he?

Chiles spot is a little more difficult to lock down, but as solid as the Big Three have been, I think this team lacks a deep threat.

Carter would be an upgrade over Agnew. Hawkins has shown flashes this year, and can move into the Agnew spot of nickel back and back-up to Issaac's SAM spot.

Behaviour wise, not performance based. There are things that they do that really bug me from time to time.

It seems tough for any team to go deep this year. Defences are playing even more zone with the new rules and so teams are relying on the short to intermediate passing game to get them down the field. Completion percentages have never been higher as a result.

If Barker can make it work under the salary cap, I would like to see Chiles back and work him into a rotation with the big three. I agree that Carter would be a good replacement for Issac. But I believe both Chiles and Carter were FAs, so could be signed by other teams for more money. I would think BC, Winnipeg and maybe Montreal would love to have Chiles.

Chiles would be a huge upgrade on Fred Stamps at this stage of his career. If we don't go after Chiles, I hope he ends up out west.
