    I still have no problem with Barker releasing guys early. I wouldn't want anybody on my team that doesn't want to be there. Hopefully going forward, when these players decide to return to the CFL, the Argos will have a legitimate chance in getting them.

    He rarely goes out and "over"-pays for FAs. If guys come back he is offering market $$$ not premium $$$.
    He likes to go out a scout, recruit and groom new guys ... look at our receiving corp as example 1.

    Yes but my point is that the top players are barely here long enough to learn the game and that is why we have led the lead in penalties for 3 years. I enjoyed Inman and Chiles, but if they came back they would probably play against us and use he experience against us. We need a strategy which bring talent here to stay. I think Barker saves money at a long term cost!

    Maybe that will change with the new ownership because Braley is not likely giving Barker a lot to work with.

    I wonder what Barker's MO was in Calgary? He has always preached a 25% turnover of players since he arrived here. Saying that's the CFL. I don't think that is the case at other teams.
