    Ricky Ray time

Trevor Harris has done an admirable job and has shown that he could play in the league, however he's shown some imperfections in his game that's totally related to his lack of experience compared to an older veteran like Ricky Ray. This bye week is a perfect oppurtunity to get Ray his reps in practice and ready to start against a game Ottawa Rough Rider team (I'm intentionally calling them that because that's what they should be? so no need to correct me) that has a good secondary and plays tough defence, especially at Lansdowne Park. (prefer calling it that than the corporate name also..lol)

I'm really surprised nobody has started a thread about this already, but no 1argoholic has mentioned it in the Milanovich team penalties thread.

I would love to see Ray get some action just to see how he would fair. I'm not against going with Harris all the way but Ray doesn't deserve to lose his job, especially since he was the best QB in the league in the last 2 seasons.

Why is Ray even dressing if he is not going to play? Seems premature to have him on the active roster.

As has been my stance all year, if Ray is healthy he deserves the chance to play, period.

If Ray is 100% healthy then he's the starter, however as I've said before if he's not, there's no need to rush him back.

Ray must be close and should be ready soon you'd think. I also think that Justin Trudeau is ready and Harper should be stopped! haha.

I didn't understand dressing Ricky Ray for the Hamilton game either. Milanovich would have played himself before putting Ray into the game so what was the point?

Due to being forced to release Gale for salary reasons, or not adding Kilgore to the main roster for similar reasons, I'd say he had no choice.

Yeah this is what confuses me, cutting Gale would've made more sense if Ray stayed on the IR and Kilgore moved up, but Gale was cut, Ray who's not ready was put on the active roster and Kilgore is still on the PR.
Budget reasons make the most sense in terms of what ended up happening.

If he is truly healthy, give his spot duty a few packages here and there as no doubt there will be some rust.
    Ease him in slowly.
Having said that, this is Harris' job to lose and he hasn't yet.

Unlike the women in the commercial, I say Justin will never be ready..."the budget will balance itself," is all you need to know why he taught drama and not economics as a teacher. Nice hair though, he's got it all adult now and trimmed the length a bit to look more professional.

What have you been watching the last 4 games? Harris' progression has kind of stalled. I won't say he's regressed but he has shown a propensity to lock on receivers and not finish his checkdowns in the last few games. 3 losses in a row and 2 lucky wins before that against an Ottawa team that beat themselves and a bad Bombers team.

A QB in his first year as a starter will have his ups and downs just as Collaros did last year. Harris played his best half of football in a few weeks in the second half of the game last Friday night when he engineered three TD drives against a tough Hamilton defence and, unfortunately, ran out of time before he could get a fourth TD. I look for a big game from Harris in Ottawa on Sept. 26th.

What do you mean "budget reasons". Don't you know that the budget will balance itself ! Seriously, I can only hold my breath so long. I want to know if Ray is ready to go if Harris goes down. I have nightmares about McPherson being #1. The only way to know if Ricky is ready is a decent amount of game action with contact. Then I will exhale !!

Hamilton's defence is vastly overated, all you gotta do is run the ball on them, Montreal's done it twice successfully with good game management by their QB's.

Yeah, but Harris had his second half success by air which makes his performance in those final two quarters all the more impressive.

I do believe Harris has a great future, but do we not need to look at the slow starts he has had? Falling behind is not a great recipe for success, and although we all complain about the D, the O really needs to get of to a faster start and stop this playing from behing thing before picking it up. For that reason especially, I say you need to start Ray if he is ready to play. deals.
