I hope Ottawa and Montreal have a knock'em out slugfest, leaving Ottawa decimated for the Argos October 6th "Home Game"....

Ottawa has played quite well against the Alouettes this season, however, the games have all been close and for whatever reason the Alouettes never seem to stay down when you think they ought to stay down so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the Als pull off an upset.

Hamilton's defense and special teams are strong enough to win them games, and they have managed to keep games close against Calgary in the past, but I think without Collaros and facing a tough defense that the Tiger-Cats are in tough.

Edmonton beats Winnipeg, but not by much as Rielly has been struggling and Winnipeg's defense is not as horrid as the team's record suggests.

    Saskatchewan over the Lions.

I'd pick Montreal except that Ottawa's receiver corps is so superior.

I'll take Hamilton sans Collaros in a bit of an upset.

Edmonton, in a closer than expected contest.

    BC over Glenn's Green.

I'm going Ottawa, Calgary, Winnipeg and the Riders.

Riders D is coming up big now that the games don't really matter.

Montreal looked very much like a team playing its second road game in 4 days. Ottawa may not be too fatigued for their "Road Game" on Tuesday against the Argos.

I avoided taking Burris in fantasy specifically because they were up against the Alouettes. A significant mistake on my part.

Damn...I forgot to set my fantasy team this week. I guess Trevor Harris and Tory Gurley won't do much for me this week. LOL!!

Nope, but given that the Argos play (by TSN Fantasy standards) twice next week then an all-Argo lineup is in the cards.

Henry Burris picked apart a Montreal secondary and set a CFL record in the process, passing for 504 yards on 45 completions in a dominant 39-17 Ottawa win over the Alouettes.
Burris set a new Canadian Football League record for most completions in a game with 45. In doing so, he eclipsed the previous mark set by Anthony Calvillo almost seven years to the day when he posted 44 vs. Hamilton on October 4, 2008.
The 40-year-old Burris was nothing short of phenomenal, keeping the discussions that he could be the leading candidate for the league’s Most Outstanding Player alive.
Equally as impressive as the numbers were the fact that Burris spread the ball around to seven different receivers.

Calgary helped out the Argos in the race for first place tonight with a win over the Tabbies.

Rene Paredes booted a 37-yard field goal with no time remaining to lift the Calgary Stampeders to a thrilling 23-20 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday Night Football.
With the win, the Stamps secure home field advantage in the 2015 Grey Cup Playoffs.
In the win, Jon Cornish was solid, racking up 154 yards on 18 total touches. QB Bo Levi Mitchell was also solid, completing 25 of his 40 passes for 230 yards and one TD pass.
Making his first career CFL start in place of the injured Zach Collaros, Cornell product Jeff Matthews was looking to rebound following a rough spot appearance two weeks prior. ...
After Matthews and the Ticats were unable to produce any late-game heroics and were forced to punt it away, the Stamps took over with nine seconds left, good enough for two quick plays.
It was then that Paredes split the uprights with no time on the clock, giving the Stamps their 11th win of the season. Matthews finished with 155 passing yards on 15 completions.

The brutal weather conditions hampered the ability of both teams to get any sort of passing game going. Even with the wind was not a significant advantage to any team offensively except in the 2nd quarter for the Stampeders where they scored 14 points. There were a few surprising elements to the game and they were the fact that both teams ran the ball well against tough run defenses and the second was that both teams kept their QB's relatively clean. The turning point really was the inability of Hamilton to get any points in the 3rd quarter when they had the wind in their favor. Although, they scored a touchdown against the wind in the 4th quarter it was only good enough to give them the 20-17 lead. They actually did a good job of neutralizing Cornish running in the 4th, but Cornish made up for that with his receiving yards. Medlock was actually punting the ball decently until the final fateful punt that gave Calgary all the position they needed for Parades to get the win.

I hope the Argos take advantage of the opportunity they have in the eastern division.

Despite Nichols passing for 320 yards, the Bombers lost 24-23 today because of a 53 yard FG by Sean Whyte with no time left on the clock.

That PI call on Willis that extended Winnipeg's final drive was one of the worst calls I have ever seen....no excuse when it was a call from the Command Centre. CFL really has officiating problems.
