I'm predicting Jeff Matthews has his breakout game this week. 36-13 Cats.

Maybe the Riders pull a rabbit out of their asses and wipe the perma snear from Austins gizzard.
    Here's hoping!!

The following site previews the Rider - Tiger Cats game that could have an important role in determining whether Argos finish first, as a Hamilton loss and an Argo win on Monday would leave Toronto alone in first place. Considering the Tiger Cats great early home winning record over the last two years, I am also surprised to find the Tabbies have lost 3 of their lost 4 home games. Go Riders go.

The Roughriders cling to their playoff lives in Hamilton when they face the Tiger-Cats in a must-win game from Tim Hortons Field. The Ticats meanwhile look to rebound from losing 3 of their last 4 home games and keep pace in the East.

Can the Rough Riders DB's be any more clueless when it comes to pass coverage?

When did the Ottawa Rough Riders enter the league?

The only the thing the Riders are pulling out of their asses is a first round pick next year!

    They'll need more than that.
Pitiful game tonight, fitting that the Riders score a TD after (Mr Class) Kent Austin calls a fake field goal (and gets stopped) deep in Saskatchewan' end leading 20-0.

I attended last night's game and it felt like the last 10 minutes took 60 minutes to play.

My read of Mathews is this: he looked good against the worst team in the country. I realize that this flies in the face of the fact I was willing to give him a mulligan last week due to the wind, but he`ll have to put up similar performances against teams not located in Regina before one can properly conclude that he is a capable replacement for Collaros.

That was a great comeback win for Winnipeg last night. I thought it was going to be a rout at half time.
It's us vs the rest of the country

I thought they were cooked, AV. Jennings was phenomenal in the first half but had some struggles in the 2nd half including having another big 57 yard play called back late in the 4th quarter because of a questionable holding call.

I didn't think that was holding, but huge props to Winnipeg, and especially their special teams, for coming back from having one foot in the grave. Now they have something to play for the rest of the season, and we have a three-way race for the last playoff spot.

Jeff Mathews had an outstanding game going 22/33 for 385 yards in leading Hamilton to a 30-15 win over Saskatchewan. However, the question remains how would he do against a good defence - that is, one other than the Riders.

The Calgary - Edmonton game was a battle of two of the three best defences (Hamilton being the other) in the league, as reflected in the 15-11 score and the winner was the top defence, Edmonton, under former Argo defensive coordinator Chris Jones. It was appropriately Cauchy Muamba's late interception that helped to seal the win.

I went to the Vancouver Winnipeg game last night - one that the Lions should have easily won as reflected in the 372 yards to 179 yard passing advantage the Lions had. However, they lost 29-26, in part because new Winnipeg kicker Sergio Castillo went 5/5 in FGs, in part because Winnipeg blocked a FG and extra point (O'Shea's special teams come through again a la Argos), and in part as the game wore on, the Bombers realized that rookie QB Jonathan Jennings was always tipping where he would throw by never looking in any other direction, helping to lead to two Bomber interceptions.
