The more that is at stake next week, the better. Hamilton and Montreal wins on Sunday would guarantee at least three meaningful games next weekend with a chance for a fourth one.

Ottawa beats Hamilton and should have won by a lot more IMO; sets up next weekend in Ottawa where I'll bet Ottawa just kills the Pussycats, AND = the Ottawa RedBlacks take first in the East = home for the East final and a win away from a GC appearance ??? Gotta give credit to that strong Ottawa D - lead the league in both sacks and INTs; a couple of players (MLB and a safety) away from a very good CFL defence IMO; and combine that with Blank Burris still capable of some very good outings and the best receiving corps (all acquired in one off season !) in the league ...

OV, can the Argos go into THF and get past a Hamilton team not led by Collaros? I would love for the Argos to try for a 4th win over Ottawa in the EF. As for for the receiving core, it is amazing what a team can do when it's owner spends $$$$$$$.

Just back from the Hamilton-Ottawa game, impressed with Ottawa's D and outside of a couple of "Bad Henry" throws later in the game they were the much better team.
Can't help but wonder watching the game how other teams seem to figure out how to game plan the Ticats and the Argos can't.
Actually no sympathy for the ever eloquent Ticat fans who didn't disappoint with their drunkin pearls of wisdom.

Kind of an unfair comment. Argos faced Collaros 3 times. Ti-Cats are night and day with and without him as their offence has only played well against Saskatchewan since that injury happened.

Was really hoping that Montreal would beat Edmonton but then Tanner Marsh struck with a key fumble into the Edmonton endzone late in the game. I would have liked to have seen all four games next weekend be meaningful to the final standings but we will have to do with just one such game - the Ticats/RedBlacks in Ottawa.

Talking more in generalities Angelo, Ottawa neutralized Hamilton's backup and made him look confused with constant pressure, the Argonauts when facing the Robert Marves of the world make these backups look like world beaters.
Ottawa looks really solid heading into the playoffs

The Argos faced the likes of Marve and Franklin much earlier in the season and still managed to beat the former. I thought that they played Jennings reasonably well the other night and better than most of the defences that have faced him. If they face Mathews and lose in the playoffs, then they absolutely deserve to be eliminated. Milt Stegall, for what it's worth, said that he doesn't think that Mathews can qb Hamilton to a playoff win.

    I hope Stegall is correct.

Ravi...thanks for bringing that up. I was swearing at my TV to no end after that fumble. All I needed was for Montreal to cover 8 and my combination CFL/NFL point spread ticket would have gained me a cool $200. Still had a chance until Kevin Glenn decided that Sam Giguere wasn't open enough for him on 3 consective plays on the bondary (missing him brutally twice and not even trying on the 3rd). Sigh!

I would have been cursing like crazy if I were you, AV. The fumble wasn't even forced either. Marsh appeared to just drop the ball before he made it to the goalline. Tanner Marsh's career has to be over after this season, doesn't it?

It should be over today...and not just because on my personal loss. With nothing to play for next week, the Als should be getting Cato and Bridge reps. I would give them each half a game.

Almost forgot to metion....listened to the Cats post game on 1150, hosted by Marshall Ferguson (who BTW is excellent). During the call in portion of the show, I could have sworn I was listening to a reading of some of the threads on this forum. Just change some of the names, and you couldn't tell the difference.

The callers were angry my friends...like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli.

I know that the Argos' o-line is really struggling but, for what it's worth, I think Hamilton's is in worse shape right now. And with Mathews at QB, points aren't going to be easy to come by for that offence.

Aside from their offense sucking without Collaros, I don't see how they're in worse shape than the Argonauts.
