I immediately thought about Stoqua when Ellingson broke away--the difference is that in 1981 it was a true upset while yesterday it was not. But, credit to the Tiger-Cats as they made it a much closer game than many expected. It doesn't vindicate the Argos in any fashion, but at least Masoli had a nice game for Hamilton and it wasn't like Ottawa truly shut him down, which would have made the Argos look especially worse. Austin did a good job at emphasizing Masoli's strengths.

Ha!!! I always said that Tom Clements was overrated!! Nice INT to allow Ottawa to even have a chance for that miracle play.

I think Calgary's D really missed Charleston Hughes and Fred Bennett. Mitchell put up really good numbers despite all their injures on the other side of the ball. Without his toughness and cool demeanour, this game would have been really ugly for the Stamps.

Some Tigercat fans have taken offence to Burris' comments - being disrespective to his opponent and to other QBs like Flutie who turned around the Argos. I think the fans are being a bigger whiner than Burris is. I don't find anything wrong with his comments at al. Sour grapes.

Reilly is just the superior QB to Mitchell IMO; still - would have been nice to see the Stumps get to roll with Hughes, Bennett, a half-way healthy O-line and Cornish. Still think the Esks are better though; but not exactly a CFL powerhouse team - no run game and their D is basically over-rated (but still pretty good) IMO.

I've lost some respect for Burris this year. Lots of whining!
He's still can't get over Hamilton going for the younger QB who got them to the Grey Cup last year.
He brought up the Lawrence hit again this weekend! Get over it...there was no penalty.
Going on about how he has to put food on the table, but doesn't mention he makes more than 95% of the other players in the league.
And maybe he should watch the film on his lineman throwing a nasty chop block on Laurent the play before the TD.

I don't recall Burris being like this prior to this season. He's really become an irritant and my team wasn't even the "victim" of his play.

Burris was one oscillation of the football away from being the gift-wrapping goat giving the game to Hamilton.

I think part of his comments were simply adrenaline still flowing after the game, yes he sounded arrogant but I choose to dismiss the indignation from perhaps the most ignorant disrespectful fanbase (Hamilton) in pro sports, live by the sword, die by the sword, Ticat fans act like a bunch of arrogant pricks in victory so it sucks to be them!!

With all due respect, any player that doesn't want to stick it to a team that got rid of him, shouldn't be playing any more. He should be gloating. He went from playing with a brutal group of receivers last year, causing everyone to believe he was done, to the Grey Cup this year.

Durable Burris had a great season that almost ended disastrously, is now a success and, should Ottawa defeat Edmonton, will become perfect.

You have that right. Hero to zero in no time at all. Then the Ti Cats and their fans could have been arrogant. Humility in sports is a very rare trait nowadays.

I think Burris is just fed up with the BS being slung his way. How many times has he had to hear that he was finished. Losing his job to younger guys and hearing Bad Hank all the time.

I have never heard it suggested that he was finished. I don't believe any team or any serious journalist has suggested that. I don't think Austin or Hufnagel said, privately or publicly, that he was done when they let him go. If he thinks they did and uses it as motivation, bully for him but IMO it hasn't happened. Even last year, journalists and most fans acknowledged that he had no receivers to work with.

Burris even took a shot at Ray and Calvillo saying that they never turned around a team like he has. Suddenly Hank's head is HUGE. Edmonton to win!!!

Henry was specificallly speaking about expansion teams. I certainly did not take it as him meaning any disrespect towards Allen, Ray or Calvillo.

Yeah, that's the way I saw it too. I have no problem with Henry or anything he says to motivate himself. He's not a jerk..He's no Kent Austin.

I've met Burris a few times when he played in the Hammer, classy guy and very engaging with the fans, hope he plays well tomorrow.
The best part of last weeks Eastern Final was seeing the perma sneer wiped from Austins face.
