Why would they use a high pick on a kicker/punter when they already have a Canadian kicker/punter that they have full confidence in? The bigger mystery is why Hamilton who had no Canadian kicker/punter or a kicker/punter that they have confidence in didn't pick Van Gylswyk.

    Riders have signed Jonathan Newsome.

The Riders announced on Monday that they have signed international defensive lineman Jonathan Newsome.
Newsome, 25, spent the last two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts after the team selected him in the 5th round (164th) overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
During that time, Newsome played 30 regular season games with three starts, where he recorded 47 combined tackles, 7.5 quarterback tackles and four forced fumbles.

For their home opener the Lions are offering $5 entry for kids under 12 (accompanied by an adult). Not a bad move by the Lions - gotta start bringing in the next generation sooner rather than later.

Stamps traded INT CB Brandon McDonald to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a neg list player. IMO if McDonald can control his emotions and not take bad penalties - the Riders got a very good player.

Probably figured he would rather look a Dickenson every day rather than Austin.

As someone who used to get so pissed when my team would lose a game (whether it be soccer or hockey); I saw first hand the negative effect it had. It still bothers me to this day that I reacted the way I did (I was Austin in a lot of ways). In saying that if I were a CFL player; I personally wouldn't want to play for Austin even though he wins, but as a fan I'd love to see the winning as well. Gotta take the good with the bad no ?

So the Ticsts just traded their third string QB to Sask. .....Waters .... I wonder if that means Collaros is ready to return .

And I guess with Gale and Waters there now Moniz will be out of a job.

I can't see Moniz sticking around after short yardage follies in each of his first two games. Obviously, Jones struggled to recruit good QBs in the off-season as he has been busy picking up everyone else's leftovers in recent weeks.

Collaros might be close, but the Cats signed former Notre Dame and Florida State QB Everett Golson recently. I think they just see him as having more potential than Waters.

If Jones could have released him during the game in Edmonton, he would have.

    It's funny cause it's true.
