Langsdorf seems like a longshot to me. Last CFL experience in 2001, no head coaching experience. Resume reads a bit like Bart Andrus's -- QB coach, etc.

A key advantage Langsdorf would have is that he coached GM Ed Hervey in Edmonton. Will that be enough to get the head coaching job?
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Why do I get the feeling that 2016 will be Austin's last season with the Ticats and Steinauer is the Head Coaching heir apparent ?

If Austin doesn't give Steinauer some sort of promotion that is a BS move on his part. You are not supposed to stand in the way of assistants interviewing for HC jobs. I don't see him giving up the HC job either to be just GM, so unless he decides to pack up and leave, I think Steinauer is stuck.

I could see Austin jumping ship, I think it could be really interesting for the 2016 off-season. Huff is rumoured to still have the coaching bug and his deal ends in 2016. Austin's deal also ends in 2016 and he's not known for sticking around. So I could actually see Steinauer become the Head Coach in Hamilton. Although, I'm not sure who they'd go with as GM, Tillman maybe ?

Just when you think Austin couldn't be a bigger prick...

I'm pretty sure Steinauer signed a bigger-than-usual coordinator contract and the quid pro quo was agreeing not to allow his name to be considered for any HC jobs during the contract. I don't like Austin but he negotiated a deal that works for both parties, and Steinauer signed it willingly.

I seem to remember that as well. And I think Steinauer is happy enough to wait out the shot as HC there.

Anwar Stewart has verbal agreement to stick with Als. He's currently the Als defensive quality control coach.

Contact extension talks ongoing in Ottawa for their GM and Coach.

    And...............
Hunt also said the Redblacks’ late-season run to first place in the division, the stirring 35-28 victory against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the East final at TD Place stadium and even the 26-20 Grey Cup game defeat against the Eskimos had boosted renewals and new sales of season tickets for 2016 ahead of last year’s pace.

The Redblacks sold 15,000-15,500 season tickets (or equivalents) for 2015, which was down from about 17,000 for the team’s first season on the field.

Hunt said the boost in sales was “encouraging that people are responding well to the year we had and are feeling good about renewing their season tickets and being part of R Nation.”

The Redblacks sold out 24,000-seat TD Place stadium for seven of 11 games played there this past season, including the playoff contest against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
    Very good news IMO.

My source tells me it's actually George Costanza who is up for the OC jobs in Ottawa, B.C. and Edmonton.
