They have too many CFL logos on the go as well. There will be a huge merch dump soon with new merch guys next year and new CFL logo.

Absolutely horrible roughing call that Sewell got called for on Burris to extend an Ottawa drive....glad they did not capitalize. Great game though...love TSN's camera work in the CFL playoffs.
No Argo fan should cheer for Edmonton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! We have 16 Grey Cups and they sit closest with 13. NO TO EDMONCHUK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good game, let's go Ottawa. Should be a great finish.
Would love to see Ottawa pull off the win today, although Henry does make some scary decisions at times.
I'm glad it's not the Argos in this nail biter. Easier to watch when it's not your team.
This game is like the new logo, plain and boring at this point.
Crazy stuff.
Decent enough game, not a classic by any means, Ottawa hung tough and played hard, oh well roll on 2016!!
This was a similar game to the 1988 game that was won 22-21 by Winnipeg over B.C. Lots of offence in the first half with defences dominating the second half. That '88 game is considered to be an underrated one so I don't know what that makes this one.
Ottawa gave it a good shot but Edmonton was the best team all season and we saw why that was the case tonight. Before OV says anything though, one thing that I have been wondering since the game ended is if Ottawa perhaps should have tried to run the ball more in the second half. I know that wasn't this team's bread and butter but they had some success running it in the first half and early in the 3rd quarter when they took the lead again but seemed to go away from it after that. With their passing game struggling mightily, perhaps they should have tried the running game a bit more. That Edmonton defence was one tough one though.

I really think something needs to change with this challenging PI calls thing though! That's my only issue with the game right now!

With a 5 yard illegal contact rule which is a judgement call by the official if PI isn't called on the field it should not be challenged!

Cry-baby loser shit there; those PIs were blatant and as plain as day; the RedBlacks D has been quite over-rated because of their sub-par and inexperienced secondary and it showed in the big-game; and at least Reilly took some shots downfield where big plays can happen; Burris seemed afraid to throw downfield after the 1st half and the Esks D just waited for a lot of that lame check-down $hite.
My take on the 2 PI calls:
I am of the opinion that an underthrown deep ball should not be PI, unless the receiver is intentionally tackled by the DB. When the DB is in catch up mode, it can be argued that the receiver stopping is what really created the contact. I wouldn't want offensive PI either in that situation. It should just be a no call. And I have said this for years, so it's not just a knee jerk reaction.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Agreed, tale of two halves.
Lights out first and a defensive struggle second.
Congratulations to the Edmonton Eskimos organization, well deserved win. I'm actually really happy that Edmonton won, mainly for two reasons. #1. I think it might have been too early for the Redblacks to win a Grey Cup, as weird as that may sound and #2. I've become a big fan of Mike Reilly, love the way he plays out on the field, plays the game the way it should be played IMO.
congrats Esks (my west team)
ANYBODY BUT HAMILTON SINCE 1999
The salivating over the RedBlacks and Burris was insufferable. It was sufficient to push me into the pro-Eskimo camp for the game. Henry started out like a house on fire but in true Henry fashion he couldn't maintain it, and I couldn't be happier.
Ottawa's sports disappointment is my joy.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
DBs intentionally running into, or throwing their hands up in the face of, receivers they can plainly see, and, without looking around for the football, is pass interference - plain & simple / end of story. And that is IMO exactly what happened with both those PI calls against Ottawa late in the game yesterday - the DBs were beat and they knew it, so in desperation they run into the receiver or throw their hands up in his face, and without any attempt to look for or play the ball. Happened earlier in the game with Esks DB Grymes (who is beat often) and they correctly called the PI there too.
You thought Ottawa and Burris were getting ALL the attention and it was insufferable? seemed to me, the Esks got more hype as the much better team & favorite and the fawning over Chris Jones was kind of sickening. Esks fully deserving of the win though, IMO.
The attention that the RedBlacks received really helped the league this week IMO. I think that Ottawa's presence in the Grey Cup for the first time since 1981 was a wonderful story and seemed to get more Canadians interested in the big game. Regarding Ottawa sports franchises, I do hate the Senators but would probably consider Ottawa's CFL franchise to be my second favourite CFL team.
Regarding the Eskimos, I suspect that most people who are old enough to remember them winning five Grey Cups in a row would have a difficult time ever rooting for them. I certainly could not do so this year and didn't back in '02, '03 or '05 either.
