And I have said this for years, so it's not just a knee jerk reaction.
It's us vs the rest of the country

The salivating over the RedBlacks and Burris was insufferable. It was sufficient to push me into the pro-Eskimo camp for the game. Henry started out like a house on fire but in true Henry fashion he couldn't maintain it, and I couldn't be happier.

Ottawa's sports disappointment is my joy.

You have been saying it for years and have been right for years.

Ottawa's sports disappointment is my joy.

DBs intentionally running into, or throwing their hands up in the face of, receivers they can plainly see, and, without looking around for the football, is pass interference - plain & simple / end of story. And that is IMO exactly what happened with both those PI calls against Ottawa late in the game yesterday - the DBs were beat and they knew it, so in desperation they run into the receiver or throw their hands up in his face, and without any attempt to look for or play the ball. Happened earlier in the game with Esks DB Grymes (who is beat often) and they correctly called the PI there too.

You thought Ottawa and Burris were getting ALL the attention and it was insufferable? seemed to me, the Esks got more hype as the much better team & favorite and the fawning over Chris Jones was kind of sickening. Esks fully deserving of the win though, IMO.

The attention that the RedBlacks received really helped the league this week IMO. I think that Ottawa's presence in the Grey Cup for the first time since 1981 was a wonderful story and seemed to get more Canadians interested in the big game. Regarding Ottawa sports franchises, I do hate the Senators but would probably consider Ottawa's CFL franchise to be my second favourite CFL team.

Regarding the Eskimos, I suspect that most people who are old enough to remember them winning five Grey Cups in a row would have a difficult time ever rooting for them. I certainly could not do so this year and didn't back in '02, '03 or '05 either.
