    My thought on the new logo is that it is very good for apparel and jerseys. Honestly I prefer it over the old logo despite what many you are thinking. I just cant wait until the new Adidas jerseys come out.

    As I said above:

    It's a league logo, not a team logo. People feel allegiance to their team and they feel allegiance to the league, but they are not at the same level of allegiance IMO. No one cheers for the league. No one buys merchandise featuring only the league logo. No one decides to follow or not follow a league based on its logo.

    And to which I will add (echoing others) no one buys seats based on a league logo.

    Sorry Paul but I have a very sweet Roger Edwards long sleeve black tee with just a CFL logo on the front. This would have been a killer CFL logo. It's an old school red maple leaf with the olf helmet logo in it. KILLER. If I got a CFL Tattoo this would be it.

    My only issue really is that the football should be full and the maple leaf needs to be bigger. I'd wear the logo on merch that I saw at Grey Cup. Hunt had a sweet hat.

    7. I got a tip this week that it's true -- those new CFL logos were indeed hastily painted onto the turf at Investors Group Field for Sunday's Grey Cup game after a monumental ball-dropping by the League Friday morning at the Commissioner's news conference. AND, if the tip is true, the League is considering keeping the old logo which was introduced 15 years ago by then-Commissioner Michael Lysko. We'll see, but that would be a great idea. No harm, no foul. Let's move on. Maybe the logo which was introduced last Friday could be some sort of secondary logo for the League.

    BTW, the old logo was introduced by Tom Wright when he became commissioner in 2002 although it was designed during David Braley's interim reign that year.

    The old logo has lasted a long time and still looks pretty sharp. The new logo looks more modern (I guess?) but it'll go out of style in the next 2 years.
