    I do not think its a big secret that the league is trying to subtly stray away from its Canadian image. Its all about attracting younger viewers in big markets including the United States. Sadly a strong Canadian association may be detrimental to the league because Canada just is not cool to much of the youth in the big markets, let alone the USA. While the name of the league still represents Canada, the logo does not, and this is all intentional. I like the logo because it doesn't scream Canada, and by no means am I not a patriot.

    Could someone tell me then why Jeffery orridge wasted all the leagues time and money with this stupid looking logo then?

    Actually that's a good point Rocket, the old logo looked just fine, plenty of other pending issues with the league that deserve attention rather than dicking around with something that didn't need fixed to begin with and as some have said in defending this change will make no difference in regards to the real issues (game attendance, TV ratings) etc.
    Personally I don't buy CFL league attire, only Argonaut team items so IMO the league logo change was a colossal waste of time.

    Woke up to find my CFL app was finally updated to use the new logo as the icon. Turned out to be more than cosmetic as the app itself has changed. There's a better layout but so far only schedule, video, and a link to the CFL shop is available. I'd rather read a news story than watch a video, so will wait and see when they reincorporate that feature. At least the app update explains why it took so long to change the logo.
