Cross Promotion with other MLSE Teams

I'm a Raptors season ticket holder. Yesterday in the season ticket holder newsletter email, there was a promotion for the Argos at BMO and an offer for access to 2016 Grey Cup tickets if you get 2016 Argos season tickets. I assume something similar was sent to all MLSE season seat holders.

That's great to hear, and I had hoped something like this would happen; am pleased it is happening already. Once MLSE starts to put its weight behind promoting the Argos, we will certainly see a culture change around the team on the sales and marketing side, and around its perception as well. Not sure how TFC SSH's will react if they get a similar email, though. I also know that in the past TFC fans were given freebie Raptors tickets as part of their package, and that might happen as more cross-promotion develops.

I am actually hopeful that all MLSE SSH's, including Argos seat holders, will get a chance at tickets to the Winter/Heritage Classic, though I am sure Leafs SSH will get the first crack...

MLSE as a conglomerate does not own the Argos, only some parts of their group owns them. Bell and the Kilmer group led by Tanenbaum. I don't think there will be any cross-promotions with the teams that are fully owned by MLSE, but who knows.

It would be nice if the Argos could attract real fans who want to watch the Argos and not just fans who want to sell or give away their tickets, but will have to wait and see. The smaller venue will help with atmosphere and will encourage fans to buy tickets because of scarcity.

It seems to me that the first post in this thread makes the above statement false already.
Would Raptors SSHs get an e-mail that included a promotion for the Argonauts if the Argonauts were owned by anyone other than their new owners(for next year)?
    I don't think so.

    Hasn't happened yet.

I believe we were told shortly after the sale was announced that MLSE will be handling the marketing side of things for the Argos though. It makes sense for Bell/Tanenbaum to use MLSE marketing resources vs. creating a new marketing team or hiring a different outside firm.

IIRC MLSE is going to be handling the marketing of tickets. I think that they do this for the Toronto Rock too.

It would suck if the few long term Argonauts employees that are still there are let go now under the new ownership. Like us fans and the team they've suffered through a lot too.
