    New regime

It seems like same old, same old for the new Argos regime. Nothing to promote. nothing to talk about to get inspired for 2016, no word on seasons ticket prices and location. Look at what John Hufnagel has already done this off-season. Re-signed most, if not all of his most important pending free agents. Signed Drew Tate to an extension. That is one good organization.

How about the Argonauts organization doing something for a change instead of the same old same old. I think these type of threads would go away as soon as we start seeing some changes and news to get Argo fans excited. Don't know what bell and tanenbum is doing right now are they secretly trying to get a nfl franchise to Toronto? And can't be focused on the Argos.

These comments are unfair. People are so critical, especially early on. It is not 1980... there is a salary cap and a lot to considering when building a line up. I can tell you I am happy with the quantity of phone calls I have been getting by the Argo front office selling tickets. I have not seen this much activity in years past. The Argo front office has posted on this form... what do people want.... to go over the salary cap in January and win the Grey Cup in February??? The MLSE front office knows how to sell and promote... I am sure they will pull out all the appropriate stops.

I want to see sell outs every home game this year along with improved media coverage.... we will see.
CFL alive and well all others can go to Hell!

It's January. No one cares about the CFL right now.

Argos signed Ray. That trumps Tate.

Yeah Calgary signed Tate for a backup position. What did the Argos do they sign a guy who played a handful of games the last couple of years and have left Trevor Harris the guy that won them the majority of games last year unsigned. What's next they going to sign chad Owens who is well past his prime to a big contract to not be able to sign anybody else afterwards!

The new owners took over January 1st. My rep said that they expect to have the seating charts and pricing out mid to late January. At least wait until February 1st before you start worrying.

Why do the majority of people on here assume that management has done absolutely nothing to resign Harris? Maybe you are all right and then again maybe they have made offers and Harris has rejected them? Are we supposed to pay him thousands and thousands of dollars just because he demands it? Let's just say that Harris is demanding the kind of money that Ray was paid when he was in his prime....should management give it to him just so that they can say they resigned Harris? Maybe they haven't made offers and then again maybe they have. My money is on Harris' agent still giving him bad representation (remember it was his agent that came out during the season saying that he should be the highest paid quarterback in the league) and not that management hasn't tried to resign him.

When you start a business you don't just say ok I'll get going today and hope that people find your business. To a certain extent I agree with the topic of this thread. Why wouldn't the new ownership group have come out all guns a blazing with marketing and getting the Argonauts into peoples minds. Just because they didn't take over until Jan 1st doesn't mean they couldn't have been working behind the scenes to get the ball rolling with a big marketing splash. YOU CAN'T CONTINUE TO DO THE SAME SHITE!!!!! This is supposed to be a great brand new start and those fans who show concerns are starting to see the same lack of effort already. They have TONS to accomplish to get this team in the public's eye and thoughts again. It's never to late or early to get rolling.
Am I in a panic? NO, but I don't want to see the same lack luster marketing we've always had.

Yes, and why aren't the big A/C manufacturers marketing aggressively right now? Doesn't Frigidaire know that they need to keep the market engaged and show a commitment to their customers?

What is there to market right now? Until there's a schedule, you can't even sell actual tickets. I bet as soon as the schedule gets released (hopefully by end of Jan) they will roll out an ad campaign.

That's funny it doesn't stop the blue jays from marketing themselves in the off season. I get continue emails from them once if not two times a week reminding me to buy tickets from them, I have seen full page ads in the newspapers to buy season tickets, I have heard radio ads for the jays, constant talk of jays on radio anytime you listen to it etc... This for a team that should have no problem averaging 90% capacity for all of there games this year.
From the Argos stand point only media and buzz we get is negative feedback on how tfc is going to be running bmo field and how they are going to be making up all the rules for us. Still waiting for an Argo representive to stand up to any of that crap and start talking how bmo will be Argo friendly. A little web site on the Argos side and a 5min interview Michael copeland gave to tsn radio doesn't cut it in my books.

No worries here! I would like to think that Copeland and his team took over 12 days ago and are doing the due diligence.
From there they'll get the ball rolling in a timely and first class manner.

... and as Mr. Leahy says "It's gonna be a sh*t storm boys". Ha. 12 days as owners, it's wonder that they even had time for a bowel movement. Patience.
