Do the Argo's have a "plan B" if for some reason BMO isnt ready on time?

Not sure but from my understanding they are ahead of schedule on the completion of the BMO Field renovations.

Bell should do as much as they can to protect and enhance their largest sports property and their investment in the Argos. Securing a normal schedule in a GC year should be a priority.

The combination of a new facility and hosting a Grey Cup probably gives Bell the best chance to rebuild the Argo brand.

I'll start the nitpicking on the overall schedule:

Weeks 12-20, I'm OK with for the most part, except for the fact Sask and BC play each other back to back in 19 and 20. That is dumb, as they could play AGAIN the next week in the playoffs.
Also, why can't more of the Saturday games be at night?

Why is there a Wednesday night game in Week 11? We get screwed playing 2 games in six days there.

Week 7: Wtf? Wednesday game and a Thursday doubleheader? Are they intentionally trying to get low ratings?

Week 6: No Saturday night game.

Week 5: Monday game. Why?

Week 4: Wednesday game. Why?

Week 3: Thursday doubleheader? Why?

Week 2: Thursday doubleheader? Why?

This league should own Saturday nights during the summer, but it almost purposely avoids them, then comes up with Thursday doubleheaders and games on Wednesday and Monday? I don't get it. Where is the common sense?

I agree, but I imagine TSN probably has more to do with this than the league.

I'm good with Week, as the next day is the Canada Day holiday, so it'll have a Friday night feel to it.
Not happy about week 3 as the Argos get the late game....guess I should book the Friday off work from now.

I honestly have no issues with any mid week games in the summer.

My issue with the mid-week summer games is that I think if they moved them to Friday/Saturday they would get better attendance/TV ratings. But like you pointed out, TSN probably holds more weight on scheduling than the league.

From what I have read or heard, Thursday night games worked very well - ratings-wise - for the league last season and especially worked well with the much-coveted younger demographic.

On a side note, I remember as a kid in the 1970s and up until 1980 that Tuesday and Wednesday nights were when CFL summer games were played. The all-time attendance record for a season (average attendance for the league) was set back in 1978 for what it's worth.
