Ryan Rigmaiden is the Lions new assistant GM and director of player personnel.

Under his new role, he will continue to work closely with co-GMs Neil McEvoy and Rick Campbell on player signings and talent evaluation.

Rigmaiden re-joined the Lions last November as director of US scouting after serving in the same capacity with the club from 2014-17. He then moved on to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as director of college scouting where he earned a Grey Cup ring in 2019.

Prior to first joining the Lions as a regional scout in 2012, Rigmaiden served as general manager and director of player personnel with the Arena Football League’s Spokane Shock and won back-to-back league championships in 2009 and 2010.

Can't find it anywhere else, but 3DN is reporting that Michael Reilly has retired.

Very good career. But he was a shell of himself the last couple of years. He did take a beating though.

B.C. made a really good signing IMO in DeAnthony Thomas. He is another player who can be electrifying with the ball in his hands much like Lucky Whitehead.

The Lions have released WR Lemar Durant, who led Canadian receivers in 2019 with 810 yards, but had only 243 yards in 2021 due to foot and rib injuries limiting him to 8 games. No doubt his high salary as a BC free agent signing played a role in his being cut. He has now signed with Hamilton.
