TBH I don't see the numbers as a bad thing. Have things slowed down ? Sure, but still lots of time before June 1st (when singles go on sale) and to jump from 3,000 or whatever season tickets to over 10,000 is a good thing. I expect no less than 21,000 per game - which doesn't sound great, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

yeah, so going to be around the same if there is no change is sales-per-week for season tickets by June 1. Probably more if the Argos spend their Marketing $$$ in right areas and demand picks up.

went down to bmo last night.
    looks awesome at night.

heads up westsiders, the roof covers row 3 up directly. rows 1-2 are uncovered. i estimate that first 7-8 rows will get rained on for sure because the roof is so high.

consider moving now if your concerned about this, while there are still awesome seats available in other sections

If that's the only problem, then overall it sounds great.

I assume that you're referring to the 100 Level?

It will depend on the direction that the rain is falling and the wind too.

Rain falls with the prevailing winds in Toronto, which usually come from the West or North. The last few rows in the West might be more susceptible than the first, and opposite conditions in the East side.

In Ottawa, ticket sales are up from last season, which featured a 2,000-seat drop in season-ticket holders from the 17,000 or so from Year One. That drop was not unexpected. Today, Hunt figures there are about 15,500 season tickets or the equivalent in packages for 2016 – and there is plenty of time to sell more before the first home pre-season game on June 13.

I got an email today that was sent to Argo season ticket holders. In it, contained the following:

    "104th Grey Cup

We know that you’re very eager to secure your Grey Cup tickets for this year’s big game on Sunday, November 27th. We are finalizing our seating manifest and hope to share this information with you in the coming weeks. Please note that we are happy to offer you the opportunity to purchase 2 Grey Cup tickets for every 1 Argonauts season ticket that you own.

I think this is a clear indication that season ticket sales are currently at about 50% of capacity at best. Otherwise, you couldn't promise 2 grey cup tickets for every 1 season ticket since the grey cup capacity isn't doubling (yes it will likely increase from the regular season but not to double).

Not that 50% is bad by any means. Just remember that seating capacity for the Grey Cup easily allows them to offer this even if they have 17K season seats

yeah, they have 38,000 seats for GC104 meaning max season ticket holders is 19,000.
Copeland already said that they are going to do this and said months its was possible only Argonauts ticket holders could get grey cup seats.

we know current base is around 14k from the seating map.

It is a nice opportunity for ssh holders to get tickets for friends and family . How many of the ssh holders who will actually exercise the two for one option or buy a GC ticket at all is a mystery at best right now . It is my belief there will enough tickets to go around for all that wish to attend from far and wide , if not , then the scalpers should have a hay day .
The parties (and hotels) may be kind of empty if the out of towners are shut out of tickets , unless of course, folks come just for the parties and we know some do .
Should be interesting to see how this all shakes out .

I'm pretty sure most teams currently allow SSH to acquire more seats for Grey Cup - all the team is doing is capping the amount you can get. I really don't see the issue here.

We don't know that at all. If 19,000 is max season tickets, and 12,000 remain on the map availability, then they are only at 7,000. Personally, I still think 10k is about where they are at, and guessing they are pretty sure it won't get to 15k, which is why they feel comfortable allowing 2 tickets for every 1 ST. The whole thing about only Argo ST holders may be able to buy GC tickets was nothing more than marketing buzz.

you have to remember that the seating map includes flex tickets... if someone buys the 3 game package, that particular seat will no longer be available for seasons. so red seats in the 3d seating chart includes both seasons and flex tickets.

Th number has changed by less than 1,000 since Flex pack sales were announced, so I don't think that makes too big a difference right now.
