First they lose Collaros and now Harris. Well done Mr. Barker. I'm thinking of cancelling seasons. If they sign Thomas Demarco I'm going to puke.

Harris will be getting $400K in his second year. That must mean Hank is done after this year? Maybe this year if he struggles in Elizondo's dink and dunk offence.

How anyone can be ecstatic that we lost an experienced QB is beyond me. He would have given us at minimum the best backup in the league (and yes, I am including Calgary in that equation). There's no upside to losing the type of insurance he represented, other than it opens the door for someone whom we haven't seen play. Maybe Kilgore turns out to be better, but I'd have preferred to go into this season with Harris on the roster.

Time to sign some offensive linemen. Ray needs to play the entire year healthy.

IMO, Ottawa has the best 1-2 QB combo in the league.

Yeah, that salary is likely based on Burris being gone.

I am. Not a fan of Harris and IMO Harris going to Ottawa makes the most sense of any deal; as Burris will likely retire after the 2016 season and Ottawa gets their "QB of the future". We in turn rid ourselves of the constant complaining when Harris isn't playing and the bickering between posters of who should start. Milo is very high on Kilgore; who IMO has a lot of potential and could be our QB of the future.

I would have loved to see Harris stay with Toronto but only if it was at a reasonable cost. Harris is but one player -- it is a team that wins championships not one player. I don't think we should have offered him the moon just to keep him. Unfortunately, we will never know what was offered or not offered. What I hate even more about the whole thing is that he signed with a rival in our division, wouldn't have been so bad if we had lost him to a Western team.

I have seen Thomas Demarco and he could not even be mistaken for the shadow of Trevor Harris.

Seems like we're trying pretty hard to get Josh Bourke.

The thing is the RedBlacks knew they had nothing behind Burris and went after the best option out there.
The Argos have nothing behind wonky arm Ray and wouldn't sign Harris. (hearing 400K for Harris is steep though) and how can Ottawa afford Burris and Harris????
The big question is Burris has shown in the past he doesn't play well with others, or like getting pulled in games etc.
    Could cause more problems!

Not ecstatic about it, but not devastated either. To me, Harris really couldn't handle the pressure of having Ray back in the fold last year. He was nervous about losing his starters job, and played very poorly as a result.

As for best back up in the league? I have to disagree. I would go with both Tate and Lulay over him.

I hope the Argos take a look at Riders FA Keith Price. He looked quite good when he played last year, and has a very big arm.

Yeah IIRC JB said something to that affect about Kilgore recently. People were down on Harris when Collaros left so hopefully Kilgore can develop just as well.

Agree with the first part. As for Price; I think he has talent and has the potential, but i continually read over on riderfans how Price really wasn't happy up here in the CFL, so for me that'd be a big concern.

Well we have to have faith. Barker is the guy that found both Collaros and Harris and not long ago no one knew of them. Harris was a guy out of some tiny school no one had heard of unless you lived in that town. We have Kilgore and Cody Fajardo who looks very promising. I wouldn't just go out and panic if I were Barker. I pretty much thought that Harris would be gone and now we're going to have to deal with two solid former Argo qb's in the east.
TO sports news a plenty with Ottawa today.

Just looked at the Argos site and Fajardo's name isn't listed so I have no idea about his status. I HATE the new Argos site!

He got his shot & played in BC; he went to Ottawa and has been on the roster 2 years and got to play a bit; and I wouldn't be surprised if another CFL team picks him up for a look if he gets cut by Ottawa. Certain young QBs get multiple CFL try-outs, looks and chances.
