Winners and losers of CFL's free agency - Kirk Penton

I'm surprised the Argonauts were so far down the list.

I think we did experience an overall net loss of talent, which is probably what Penton is considering. But he's missing the fact that we got stronger in our area of greatest need (OL). The areas we got weaker are those where we could afford it, with the possible (yet to be determined) exceptions of backup QB and kicker.

I think that Barker did a great job bolstering the Canadian talent and the offensive line. At first glance, it seems that we got a little older through this free agent process with the additions of Raymond and Bourke and with Bulcke being three years older than Laing - assuming that he doesn't return. Then again, we lost older guys in Keeping and Owens so maybe this balances out somewhat.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Sask and Wpg could have signed anyone and been declared the winners -- they were that bad last season. IMO it's ridiculous that Mtl is ranked third. For picking up Stafford and Johnson? What?
