Saw a Ticat fan at the game yesterday. He seemed to be a big Al's fan. Which started a Ticat Suck chant in my section ... an other Ticat fan had a sign hoping both teams would loose. Kind of funny ...

anyways congrats to the AL's and thier Fans. Good luck in the Grey Cup.

Is he a big Als fan or I hate the Argos fan?

I will really be rooting for the Als. Social media postings of people like Bob Irving, Doug Brown and Derek Taylor (who seemed cool until he became an employee) really annoy the hell of out of me.

Some Bombers fans have been annoying the hell out of me too, especially after yesterday, so I too will be rooting for Montreal.

The Alouettes extended Cody Fajardo and Shawn Lemon over the past couple of days. Important signings for them given what just happened, I suppose.

I can almost guarantee that they had 2023 cap room left because of the way the year started for them. This can be huge for them if they were able to use 2023 room on 2024 contracts

They also re-signed MLB Sankey, who along with Lemon was a nice addition to their D late in the season; not sure how much Lemon has left in the tank, but Sankey is only 29; other nice D young pieces like Subblefield & Ento would be nice to retain; also some speculation they might be able to get M. Betts to come home to Quebec as a FA, but he would be co$tly. Their O with Fajardo with confidence and some good receivers should be pretty decent ?

Looks like the Als could build on the GC win season to be a force in the East? The Argos will need to respond - minus DC Mace and maybe facing some key FA losses, plus Kelly will need to rebound from the East final melt-down.

Many things can happen in free agency but I have a feeling the Argos will be in tough next season.
Montreal will be very solid and the Ticats should be improved with Milanovich at the helm instead of Steinauer, Toronto on the other hand will have a new DC and will probably lose some key defenders heading into 2024.

Yep - who knows; but I trust Ryan D as a HC and the Argos are already very deep in talent all-over (IMO)

Scotty M & Mr. Ed in charge of the Pussycats should strike no fear in anyone and they don't have a proven QB or that much else on offence. Should be in a battle with the RedBlacks for the East basement.

Argos depth on D could be tested depending on who they lose, Hamilton don’t have a proven QB right now but who knows who they could sign.
Could MBT end up in Hamilton or perhaps Saskatchewan?
    Should be interesting.

    Agreed !

Off-season team building and FA losses and gains, plus the CFL draft, are fave aspects for this CFL fan.

Chad Kelly maybe fleeing for some sort of NFL look is a bit of a worry, but I think he will stay.

As much as I think there is too much player movement in the CFL on a yearly basis it does seem to keep the offseason quite interesting.
I enjoy following the Argos to see who they can retain, sign as free agents and draft.
The Argos have been able to bolster their lineup via free agency after poor seasons but on the flip side they could be the team that experiences some roster attrition via free agency this year.

The Argos are likely to lose some good to excellent players but they are so deep that I am not that concerned about it. My bigger concern right now is getting the defensive coordinator spot settled. Reportedly, Jason Shivers was in Toronto for an interview this past week. Shivers was a hot property two or three years ago but the shine went off of him this year for sure. Perhaps a change of scenery would revitalize him but I personally would prefer if the Argos went internally for this position.

So far the Alouettes seem to be doing a good job in locking up some key contributors to their success this past season.

Still remains to be seen if the Als are a really strong team, or if they just went on a crazy roll to finish the season, similar to the 2017 Argos.

I think the latter TBH, they are a solid team but listening to them they are a little full of themselves at this point.

Potential huge loss for the Als today as Austin Mack has signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons.
I haven't been able to find any other details such as signing bonus or anything like that, so there is a possibility he doesn't even make it to training camp, but I think there is a chance he sticks around. Still only 26 years old and absolutely kicked butt in his first CFL season.
