International DB Jonathon Mincy already has five NFL workouts lined up and appears to have an excellent chance of heading south next year.

Sources say more NFL teams want to get in on the action and are working on the details. Mincy could be the most coveted DB since Delvin Breaux three years ago when well over 10 teams worked out the current Saints defender who was New Orleans top defensive player in 2015.
Mincy played boundary corner for Montreal in 2017 where many of the best wide outs in the CFL line up each week. He was targeted 6.2 times per game in 2017 and he allowed a 64 per cent completion rate and 42.3 yards per game, leading the league in those categories (statistics via Onside CFL Fantasy host Dave Dawson).
The 25-year-old has played 32 games for the Alouettes in two seasons, making 108 tackles, three interceptions and forcing three fumbles. After the 2016 campaign, Mincy was named Montreal’s Most Outstanding Rookie and he was named an East Division all-star in 2017.

Montreal has now released Mincy early so he can pursue his NFL dreams.

The Als have extended National DB Mikael Charland through 2019.

The 25-year-old was released by Ottawa in June and signed the same week with Montreal. He contributed to special teams for 12 games making one tackle and made an impression.
The six-foot-four, 216-pounder played USports football at Concordia University in Montreal.
Charland was selected in the second round, 16th overall by the Redblacks in the 2016 CFL draft. A groin injury during Ottawa’s first pre-season game that year set the Gatineau, Que. native back and saw him play in just three games in his rookie season.

Kavis can't be serious. Joe Mack probably the reason behind the interview.

Was Tommy Clements always on the list? It would be great to get him back in the league. But Montreal is going nowhere until Kavis is replaced.

He can be as overrated a coach as he was a QB...Just my opinion.

Clements has also been away from the league for 30 years. A lot has changed in the CFL over that time.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

And 30 years ago, he threw 30 int's and somehow won the leagues MOP that season. Poetic justice that he was able to be so outstanding that his team scored 3 points in their playoff game that year.

I would be very surprised if Tom Clements came to the CFL as a Coach, let alone to Montreal under Kavis Reed. But if he ever did I can't see him not wanting full control of the Team.

I expect Montreal will wind up with a tier 2 type Coach who Kavis won't feel intimidated by and he can control things from above.

I'm starting to think Milanovich may be Kavis's man, assuming he would want to return to the CFL and into that particular situation. It seems pretty clear that he has worked miracles with Blake Bortles this season, so his coaching stock is likely on the rise around the NFL.

Well Scott has his QB in place there in Montreal. Drew Willy.

    Alouettes assistant general manager resigns
    3Down Staff 3downnation.com December 18, 2017

Montreal has had head coaches turn away and now one of their own has too.

Assistant general manager Catherine Raiche has left the club according to Didier Ormejuste of RDS.

Raiche joined the Alouettes in December 2015 when Jim Popp was general manager. She was elevated to the role of assistant general manager last January.

She has a law degree from the University of Sherbrooke and was admitted into the Quebec Bar Association in 2012. She practiced corporate and tax law for three years at the law firm Gascon & Associates before coming to the Alouettes.

Montreal lost 11 straight games to finish the 2017 season finished at 3-15, the worst record in the league. The Alouettes scored a league-low 314 points and were the only team that averaged less than 20 points per game (17.4). Since 2013, the Alouettes have a 33-55 record and have missed the playoffs for three consecutive seasons, tying a franchise-worst streak.
