Veron Adams gets a game for yanking off a helmet. So every time a defender tackles someone by the face mask they should get a game?Only if the helmet comes off I guess.

Lenkov brothers could be extremely close to finalizing Alouettes ownership deal: report
3Down Staff - 3downnation September 24, 2019
Finally, the Montreal Alouettes might be sold.
Montreal Gazette reporter Herb Zurkowsky has been tied into the entire saga.
Peter Lenkov is a 55-year-old writer and producer. He studied film at Concordia University in Montreal. Jeffrey Lenkov , who is 53 years old, is a lawyer based in California. The younger brother went to McGill University.
The CFL officially purchased the Alouettes from the Wetenhall’s in late May. The league and Wetenhall family had been working for several months to identify and assess potential new owners and that process is ongoing with Randy Ambrosie leading the way.
The Lenkov brothers have been at Alouettes games on the road and in Montreal while cheering them on publicly on social media. Ambrosie was hoping to sell the Alouettes to the Lenkov brothers and it seems that wish could come true.
Former Argo Devier Posey talks about his first year with the Als in the podcast below.
https://www.cfl.ca/2019/09/29/posey-ready-fight/On the latest episode of The Waggle presented by Sport Clips, Posey joined Davis Sanchez and Donnovan Bennett to talk about his season, the stellar play of Vernon Adams Jr., the process that landed him in Montreal, and the team’s ability to come together this season.
Episode 177: Beef in la Belle Province + Posey pops by
EPISODE OVERVIEW: The boys break down all the pre- and post-game beef in Montreal last weekend. Plus, how did it all go down from John Lu’s perspective? And DeVier Posey tells all about what it’s really like to play in Montreal. That and more on this week’s episode of the Waggle.
EPISODE RUNDOWN: Bowman vs. Harris (2:00); DeVier Posey (14:15); John Lu drops in to talk Als (33:30); Did MTL win or WPG lose (50:00)? Quarterback change in Toronto (54:00); Objectionable conduct (56:30).
I thought Vernon was trying to put the helmet back on Bighill's head. He was using both hands. Bighill is one of those guys in the League who's helmet seems to pop off quite easy. Time to move on and learn from it. I believe Adams was hurting near the end of that Winnipeg game so the week off was probably good for him, except his pocket book.
Good to see. The suspension appeal process needs to be speeded up. Could Adams of held out for two weeks, then withdrew his appeal when the Als play the team with the worst record in the league, the Argos, or arguably the worst team currently in a month, Ottawa, giving the Als a better chance of a win?
Personally, I think he didn't appeal because they were playing BC, a team that had only beaten Toronto and Ottawa prior to this game. I think he saw this as the easiest game remaining, and thus no appeal. Remember, Argos were within a dropped pass of beating Montreal. Had they been playing Hamilton, I guarantee he would have appealed.
It's us vs the rest of the country
The Als have signed former Laval RB Christopher Amoah.
https://www.cfl.ca/2019/10/01/als-si...actice-roster/Amoah was a standout with Laval University. During his five years with the Rouge et Or, the 24-year-old accumulated 1,977 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on 279 carries. The Montreal native has won the Vanier Cup twice in 2016 and 2018.
The running back participated in the 2018 Edmonton Eskimos’ training camp.
The club also released American receiver Jamill Smith from the practice roster in a corresponding move.
Former Argo WR Mario Alford has signed with Montreal. In 2018 he caught seven passes for 57 yards for Toronto, after being drafted by the Bengals and bouncing around the NFL with the Bears and Browns.
The CFL has ruled out former Argo/Alouette/Tiger Cat RB Eric Lapointe as an Als owner.

Lenkov brothers, Alouettes ownership deal expected to close within seven to 10 days
3Down Staff 3downnation October 11, 2019
The Montreal Alouettes might finally have a deal in place for new owners.
Montreal Gazette reporter Herb Zurkowsky has been tied into the entire process.

Former Argo WR Devier Posey is having the best season of his career having gained more yardage, 780 with a couple of games to go, than in any other year.
Adarius Bowman has announced his retirement. Edmonton had released him after the 2017 season because of his $140,000 salary. He signed with Winnipeg in 2018 but was traded to the Als in July. He has remained unsigned in 2019. With more than 9,000 yards in a ten year career he had been a standout CFL WR.
https://3downnation.com/2019/10/17/r...es-retirement/Bowman played seven seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos where he became a Grey Cup champion (2015) and was a three-time CFL all-star. ...
The slotback finished his career with 652 receptions, 9,491 yards, and 49 touchdowns in 141 regular-season games between Edmonton, Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, and Montreal.
Bowman was also the 2017 recipient of the Tom Pate Memorial Award as voted by the CFL Players’ Association. The honour is given to the player who displays outstanding sportsmanship and someone who makes a significant contribution to his team.
The 34-year old, who holds the Eskimos’ single-season reception record with 120 will move into his new career as an insurance broker.
RB William Stanback, who broke the 1,000 yard mark last weekend, says he is willing to stay in the CFL but will be looking to see whether any NFL teams show an interest in offering him a signing bonus.
La ligne à l’attaque, une préoccupation chez les Alouettes

Claridge would not own 49% of the Alouettes
As The Gazette reporter Herb Zurkowsky reported a few days ago, the Claridge Group is involved in the sale of the Alouettes. But according to our sources, Stephen Bronfman's group would be willing to acquire between 20% and 35% shares in the team, and not 49% as it was reported.
In negotiations with the CFL, now the owner of the Alouettes, for several months, brothers Peter and Jeffrey Lenkov would become the majority shareholders of the team.
Other investors, other than Claridge and Pierre Boivin, who is a Claridge employee and the father of Alouettes president Patrick Boivin, could be part of a potential consortium. Although we seem to be moving towards a resolution of the file, according to our sources, nothing is imminent and no announcement is expected in the coming days.
The Als have finally started negotiations with HC Khari Jones to extend his contract. No doubt the ongoing questions about who will own the team have delayed the process.
Nice to see Montreal fans post season support for the Als.
