Argos should just take Carter off their hands.
I have been one to defend Carter on here, especially regarding the incident with that weasel Rick Campbell. Having said that, I wouldn't touch Carter with anything. His constantly fake perma-smile is annoying as hell, and no matter how good a receiver he is (and he is VERY GOOD), I would say good-bye to him. Their season is over, they may as well bring in a couple of new receivers and build towards 2017.

Cato seems too high-strung, and Carter comes across as a phony. Good luck to Popp trying to deal with this mess.
Bang-on (as usual with 57)
Poop needs to be punted out of town there along with Bobby Wet-and-all, and maybe the Als could build again - local owners hire some Quebec football people for management & coaching might be a very good thing.
IMO Cato has some real QB talent but needs to be given time and patience to develop; Adams might also be a very good young QB talent (was super impressed in seeing him play in the US Shrine all-star game); they should have kept Bridge too, instead of dreaming an over-rated, old stiff like Glenn would take them anywhere. And the Als still have a very solid O-line and 3 good RBs IMO (should be using Logan more as a change of pace back) - but they are too typically CFL clueless to have diversity on offence and will expect the young QBs to go mostly pass to a sub-par receiving corps, They ain't going anywhere with this offence, even though their D is good at times (but still very weak in the secondary).
AV likes to pump Carter's tires as such a great receiver talent - but IMO he is quite over-rated - yes, some big play ability and a deep threat, but questionable hands and not sure he is much of a route runner; not even close to as good an overall receiver talent as the Esks came up with in their gold mine find of last year. Combine that with Carter being an ego-head clown = teams can do without this guy, unless they are desperate for a name/faux star that they are sold on feeding tons of passes to (son of NFL HOFer Chris - don't ya know Poop) - not at all surprised Carter could not stick in the NFL - while lots of less hyped CFL receivers can play there IMO (see D. Inman) when they get a real shot.
Does Popp not understand simple math?
I read a few days ago from the Montreal beat writer that they are still on pace to be $300K over the cap? Where is the money going on that s*** team?

I hope Montreal can put all that anger towards Hamilton on Friday night. Boy do they miss SJ Green.
Gotta give Thick Nik credit - having a great season - good hands, smart receiver who knows how to get open and a load to bring down.
Butt of lots of jokes, but his all-time CFL receiving production #s do not lie !
Too bad the Als lost SJ Green this year - him as the main go to guy + Thick Nik as a possession receiver + Carter used less but still a big-play deep threat = a pretty good trio - if their collective egos (Carter mostly) could accept this role; Giguere & whoever else could fill the 4-5 receiver spots adequately.
TOO MANY injuries this CFL season - robbing teams & fans of some very good players; but it is part of football to deal with.

Well said, Cato.
Good point on Martin. The funny thing about Popp being so far over the cap is most of SJ Green's salary doesn't count against it due to his injury. Seriously overpaying work by Popp.
Hebert is over the hill and Giguere has been stealing money in this league for years with his lack of production. It's funny looking at the Als, roster, they have to have the most guys over 30 in the league by two-fold.
Sounds like a good friend of Cato's was shot to death in Miami this week, which might explain why he has been acting the way he has been acting.
