Dave Foxcroft is one of the officials they are sending to train in the NFL? I wonder how they will like him down there.
BTW, speaking of former CFL players turned officials, whatever happened to Dave Donaldson? I thought he was progressing as a CFL official but he did not do any games last year.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
The NFL is familiar with Foxcroft. He used to work the yard sticks in Buffalo before he became a CFL official. His father has great connections.
By the way, I see Valessi was in mid season form last night. He called a penalty on Montreal, but motioned as if it was Winnipeg that got the penalty. Idiot.
It's us vs the rest of the country
The NFL and CFL are expanding their joint official development program.
http://3downnation.com/2017/05/16/nf...lop-officials/Troy Vincent, the NFL’s executive vice-president of football operations, says working together to develop a sustainable pipeline of experienced officials makes good sense for both leagues.
A total of six NFL officials, up from four, will work with CFL crews in June and July before the NFL’s annual officiating clinic in July. The number of CFL officials doubles to six in the NFL’s officiating development program, which includes attending NFL minicamps and training camps, officiating preseason games in the CFL and college football.
A back judge will join the side and field judges used in the CFL last year.
