Either of the Stamps or Elks make a late season run/ win streak and they could cross-over; more likely the Stamps if they put it together (Dickenson is a clown as a HC though IMO). Again, can't see this wimpy, over-priced hero FA savior Ticats team winning more than one game the rest of this season, and possibly none.

The Argos and Matt Black certainly thank-him for another Argo GC win; in fact, a whole bunch of CFL teams thank the goof for losing big play-off games in the last decade or so.

But as an American GOB, to you, he has a rightful place as a CFL leader and should keep getting rewarded and revered. ;o)

One of my fave CFL QBs back in his day - a sharp, poised, accurate arm gamer; as a CFL HC however, he is a predictable dullard. Outstanding players just do not always make good football coaches'.

Hamilton added American WR John Hall and DB David Verneen to their PR.

Hall, 25, most recently spent training camp with the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks (2023) after signing with the club as an undrafted free agent. The 6’3, 195-pound native of Macomb, Michigan suited up in 36 games over five seasons (2016-22) at Northwood University, registering 64 receptions for 1,104 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.
Vereen, 25, most recently spent time with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts (2022-23) after signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent (2022). The 5-11, 175-pound native of Florence, South Carolina suited up in 38 games over four seasons (2017-21) at Newberry College, registering 112 total tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions and 40 passes defensed.

Hamilton signed two more players with previous pro experience:Canadian DB Jacob Dearborn and American WR Chris Coleman.

Dearborn, 29, has suited up in 10 games over two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders, registering 24 total tackles, including 18 defensive tackles and two interceptions. The 6’3, 200-pound native of Yarker, Ontario originally signed with the Riders in 2019 as an undrafted free agent after spending three seasons at Carleton University (2016-19). In addition to his football talent, Dearborn also represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympic games, finishing 23rd in the 4-man bobsleigh.

Coleman, 24, previously signed with the Tiger-Cats in September and spent time with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins (2023) after originally signing with the club as an undrafted free agent. The 5’11, 192-pound native of Bakersfield, California played 11 games over two seasons (2021-22) at Cal Poly University, recording 48 receptions for 702 yards and five touchdowns. Coleman began his collegiate career at Fresno State University, where he played both defensive back and receiver, suiting up in 24 games over four seasons (2018-20), recording 16 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown.

Hamilton had two CFL All-Stars: WR Tim White and DL Casey Sayles.

White earned his second consecutive CFL All-Star selection to go along with his three consecutive East Division All-Star nominations. The Santa Clarita, California native led the league with 1,269 receiving yards and ranked third in the league in receiving touchdowns (8) and targets (124), while also finishing seventh in receptions (75). The 29-year-old was also named the Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Player and earned a spot on the CFL Honour Roll in week 12.

Sayles was named a CFL All-Star for the first time in his career after also earning his first career Divisional All-Star selection. The native of Omaha, Nebraska suited up in 17 games for the Tiger-Cats this year and led the club in quarterback sacks (7) and tackles for loss (5). The 28-year-old interior defensive lineman also ranked fifth in the league with 50 defensive tackles while his five tackles for loss ranked second in the CFL.

The Ticats have re-jigged their football operations. Steinauer is now President, Football Operations and Ed Hervey is GM. A head coach (who I assume to be Scott Milanovich) will be named later this week.

That's kind of a weird way to do it, to announce the head coach a couple of days later.

Scott Milanovich is the new head coach in Hamilton. I wasn't a fan of his towards the end of his Toronto tenure.

Important off-season in Hamilton (but aren't they all).

Argo fans reason to rejoice ! - Mr. Ed & Scotty M in charge of the Pussycats; gee, what a CFL shocker.

Reports tonight have Bo Levi Mitchell returning to QB the Ticats in 2024 on a restructured contract. Given that he hasn't had a good season in 5 or 6 years, I am not convinced that this will work out well for the Ticats.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
